Let's goooo, I just had a brainstorm -- Geometry Script can copy skeletal mesh skins to static geo, so instead of doing highly custom deformations, I can just rig complex stamps like branches, and use posing for adjustment -- and the leaf bones mark up precise "junction points."

-Update- thanks to a youtube short I found last morning from Folks Blender Hub, that showed off how to use bone constraints to make tails and things less daunting to animate, posing my Black Jewel model will be a breeze when the time comes to use him!

I'm having so much fun with Godot, especially trying out different plugins and stuff.

I got some Mina sprites in, and I was able to get some neat stuff like running, double-jumping, and wall kicking (like Mega Man X) in, too, by just fiddle-farting around. :P
