Yup, the calligraphy was a dead giveaway, and the content confirms it: a pleito de hidalguía.

On this day in 1274, Thomas Aquinas died. His master piece, the "Summa theologiae" (here: IIa-IIae 29) was greatly appreciated by early book binders (Zentralbibliothek Zürich, Rq 75)

"An index of manuscripts in Lohr’s Latin Aristotle Commentaries" compiled together with Rod Thomson. Hopefully useful to those working on the medieval Aristotelian tradition. Not yet in OA, but possibly in DM! #philsky

CfP on a marvelous topic, imho, especially because I organise the conference myself (with Sébastien Moureau): "Verbositas Arabica, implicatio Graeca, paucitas Latina. Multilingual Text Traditions in the Middle Ages (8th–14th Century)" (20–22 Jan 2027). #medievalsky

Remains from a 10th-c MS of the Vita of Gregory the Great and the opening of book 2 of his Dialogues with the life of Saint Benedict. Very early witness of these texts. #medievalsky (Vendôme, BM, 193)

1775 manuscript "by a simple individual living in a small hermitage" who collected and commented upon instructions for boys and girls. Bound in reused vellum with a lot of lisible text, sadly just seems to be a Bible page (Proverbs). 50€ est! www.interencheres.com/art-decorati...

With all due respect, but this seems like a rather narrow Anglophone view. It is clear to me that the Dutch word "pannenkoek" hints at the original etymology of πᾶν ἐν κουκκούματι, to be understood as "all in the pan"!
