Families of Canadians who received MAID talk of rushed assessment, not being told of decision: study
Canada's law focuses on the rights of people to choose when to end their lives, but many families said they should be included.
This news story serves as another example of how Canada's assisted suicide law has gone way too far. Parliament must say no to expanding Medical Assistance in Dying and also Repeal Track 2 which has claimed the lives of 2,050 people between 2021-2024. nationalpost.com/news/familie.... #cdnpoli #MAID

Special committee meets to weigh expansion of MAID to mentally ill
Liberal MP James Maloney and Conservative Senator Yonah Martin will co-chair a special joint committee on the expansion of MAID in Canada
A joint committee of Parliament will give recommendations on the future of Canada's assisted suicide law. Our CEO Krista Carr spoke with @nationalpost.bsky.social and called on Parliamentarians to repeal Track 2 of #MAID and not widen further access.

16 years since Canada ratified the UN CRPD.
Today marks 16 years since Canada ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). Inclusion Canada will continue to work to ensure that Canada fully implements the #CRPD and delivers on equality and inclusion. It requires sustained leadership, accountability and action.

Happy #KindnessWeek. From an Inclusion Canada perspective, the most lasting form of kindness is creating conditions and building communities where everyone belongs.
Compassion and good intentions must be paired with structural inclusion.

Our fifth federal priority is to stop Track 2 & the 2027 expansion to MAiD.
