I don’t know how to say this without sounding harsh, but I need you to hear it. COVID — or SARS-2 — is not “just another cold.” It doesn’t leave you the same. Every reinfection stacks damage: brain, heart, immune system.

I understand what you feel. I’m also still very Covid-conscious but it’s hard to tolerate the social othering so I find myself avoiding indoor social events, which is very limiting. We ask our kids to stand up to peer pressure yet I see such few adults that can do it themselves.

People continue to act like disabled & covid caution folks want to return to lockdowns. We don’t.

We want clean air in public spaces. Paid time off. Better access to testing. Free respirators and mandatory masking in healthcare.

And yes, sadly, we (Americans) foolishly believed in a system we were told existed and no one came. Kinda late to figure out it was only us all along.

That’s because a threshold WAS crossed. When the executive defies court orders by the judicial, our democracy ceases to exist. It’s just that we’re not ready to face that its officially happened.
