Thing I learned today courtesy of the Curious Cases podcast: “Wi-Fi” doesn’t stand for “wireless fidelity” or in fact, anything. It was just a word a branding company came up with to be something easy and catchy for the masses.

The problem with having several sizes of pants you like: I accidentally grabbed the wrong ones so instead of the more fitted looking ones I’ll be performing in big baggy clown pants on stage tonight.

I don't know why I insist on playing guitar strings into the ground when I always LOVE when I put a new set on.

Put new strings on two guitars I want to use this weekend. Also oiled and waxed the unfinished neck on my MusicMan St. Vincent, following a youtube video, and this attempt went way better than he first time I did it on another guitar.

Practicing saxophone out in the back yard and already getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. BOO.

I held out as long as I could. AC came on today.

Friday: play 11-1, get home, unwind and such and go to sleep about 4am.
Saturday: socialize for 6 hours at a friend’s birthday party until 1am, again go to sleep around 3-4a.
Sunday: grab dinner and hang with a friend for 12 hours until I take him to the airport at 4am. Asleep around 5:30a.

Just in case anyone had any worries whatsoever (knowing I’m an Austinite), I was nowhere near the shootings on 6th street last night. It is a little too close for comfort that I was playing 24 hours earlier 2 miles away, but thankfully 24 hours and 2 miles is a world of difference in this instance.

I like when I’m in a relationship and my partner has preferences about my hair and beard/no beard because I can never decide what I like better or want to do with either.

Had to miss out on the GORGEOUS day today because I had too much music to work on for upcoming gigs. After rehearsal tonight though, I'm going o take an hour off an watch the new Taylor Tomlinson comedy special, "Prodigal Daughter."

A few souvenirs from the film shoot today. An impressive elbow bruise. Fake blood trails from my costume. A very bruised knee and hip though they don’t really show. General full body soreness. A great time acting opposite one of my best friends with a phenomenal crew all around.

Then on the way home at a gas station, someone got out of their car and enthusiastically said "Are you Heath Allyn?" "Yes!" I said. "I love your videos, man! I was just watching your stuff" and he literally showed me one of my videos up on his phone. So that's a first!

Bruised, battered, and sore after scrambling around on a concrete floor for much of the 12 hour day 1 of 2 shooting a fun short western called "Paid In Blood" but I LOVE what I do.

I don’t think I’ve had Cheddar Bay biscuits from Red Lobster since 2012 and I don’t know why I don’t get them more. So I got some tonight. SO GOOD.

Roommates brought home some Tiff's Treats cookies, and they were YUMMY. Worth the hype.

I know that neanderthal is pronounced "nee-ann-der-tall" but I hate it. Don't know why. I just REALLY like "thal" better than "tall."
