The TTK in Marathon is way to low. Im not sure I can enjoy an extraction shooter where the only way you win a fight is to see the other person first. Especially in a big open map with the limited 90 degree angle view that an FPS offers.
Wandering for 15 minutes to die in half second isnt fun.

Was really hoping HighGuard would end up being amazing as a spit in the face to the hate train. But after a few matches im just...uh, confused more than anything.
Its like...4 slices of 4 different games and those slices do not speak to eachother at all. It's weird, and not the good kind.
I really, really wish more of the game industry switched over to Bluesky. I really, really, do not want to use the other app, but as a game reviewer, YouTuber, whatever. Gaming folks are still far more prominent and active over there.
Sucks.

Haven't been requesting a lot of review copies lately because I don't always like the time pressure. But I had to put in a request for Mewgenics because it's been hard to think about any other game since discovering it.
Definitely a game I'm going to review either way.
It's wild. I started with video games so when I branched into covering board games it was mind blowing (in a bad way) to suddenly be getting monetary offers for reviews. I think board games still has a lot of maturing to do on the media side.
Not that the video game side is perfect by any means.

Oh that makes it more interesting. I knew factions had sub groups but I assumed none were big enough to be their own thing aside from Astra Militarium and Sisters of Battle.
Should make for a great totalwar game. My wallet will suffer once the DLC train starts chugging.
So its kinda weird that I love 40k games (total war is my most anticipated) but I don't know a ton about it.
Are all of these actual factions? I thought most of this list fell under the Imperium? Just wondering if there is a reason for them to fight eachother in total war.

I loved 4th edition, but it was also my first foray into tabletop RPGs, so I'm biased. I couldn't agree more. There's honestly been somewhat of a void for me since though. Pathfinder 2e filled it for a while. But these days, my group (bless their hearts) ends up playing my homebrews.

As a massive fan of Death Stranding. DS2 doesn't deserve to be anywhere near an award show unless the award is most dumbed down sequal.
