Mestral scooped up Letant like he weighed nothing and ran as fast as they could, not going towards the wall anymore, they didn't think they could climb as fast with the extra weight. They pinged the Tenakruvek, asking for emergency transport whilst shooting a couple more times at the downed Hirogen.

"LETANT!" Tears welled up in their eyes and they drew their own weapon. It looked like a Romulan disruptor but they had added some Debrune tech that enhanced the shot with their telepathy. They fired at the Hirogen, desperate to protect their bondmate and colleague.

Mestral didn't look back despite hearing the noise, but they ran towards Letant. "LETANT! We need to get out of here!" they urged him, fearing he'd get hurt again.

"That is true," Mestral sighed and pressed their body against Letant's. "My bondmate, the future worries me but having you makes me feel a little less scared."

Mestral dodged and rolled to the side. They fired once and then booked it as fast as they could down the promenade. They were going to climb the wall again and get to that zero g spot, well above where anyone could see or reach them from the ground.

Mestral attempted to save their guard but it was too late. They pressed their panic button on their PADD to alert the Tenakruvek and Letant that they were in danger. They drew their disruptor and pointed it towards the other. "Who is your associate?"

Mestral sensed someone was watching them and leapt off the wall when fired at. They landed on their feet and turned to see the Hirogen.

"Hirogen. What do you want?"

Climbing the walls

I don't think inquiring about one's species is a personal question? I am not asking you the size of your genitalia, I am asking you about literally your species. The same way someone may ask an android if they breathe or why Andorians have antennae

... This confuses me. How is one to gain knowledge if they do not ask questions? I am Debrune, you can certainly ask me questions. I invite such inquiries as I love telling others about my culture and people.

I am merely curious why a an artificially created Vorta is so tall. You are a detective, similar to myself, yet you do not question the world around you? In a galaxy with infinite diversity you never want to know about another being?
