Of course. Iβll bring my homemade absinthe.
Part Two of the Orcusdorkus/Titterpigs Pendragon crossover is up. We continue on with rules talk, game opinions, campaign war stories, The Grey Knight, and the consequences of partying with the Fae.π§ββοΈπβοΈ

That was out in Diamond Bar. Never went unfortunately. I suppose it was just out of our limted range back in the day.
Iβll try to stop in about every three weeks or so when Iβm working in the area.
Huge shout out to Tuan and Dice House Games, the heir apparent to SoCalβs Game Castle, for carrying on the legacy of that local legendary 80βs and 90βs game store.
Revisiting The Dresden Files on audiobook this time around and James Marsters is a solid narrator so far, but good lord, did no one tell him to step back a skosh from the mic? It sounds like he swallowed a Blue Yeti and every hard gulp, wet smack, and dry exhale is coming through loud and clear.
Assault on the Mountains of Madness (2013)
An OOP Achtung! Cthulhu book with a strange credit story. So, a while ago I posted the inside cover and Scott Woodard (of SWADE acclaim) messaged me βWTF? I edited this!β After confirming with Scott Dorward, turns one editor in the book isβ¦questionable.π
No, but in hindsight it was a little strange how the executives giving the speeches looked once we put them on. At the time we just figured it was part of the show.
I Went to KamCon and I Slept With Brendan LaSalle T-Shirt (2025)
When I was invited to KamCon I learned Iβd be rooming with Brendan and playing in his live X-Crawl AP. So naturally I made this tongue in cheek shirt and revealed it to him and the audience at the game. Sorry, NFS. Itβs one of a kind.π
D&D 50th Anniversary Sunglasses from GenCon (2024)
At the invite only D&D 2024 reveal (how we got invited, I have no clue) these and other items were centerpieces. In true βno honor amongst thievesβ fashion, we nicked them, only to later find them in a gift bag we had no clue we were getting. π
2001 A Space Odyssey & 2010 Odyssey Two Adventure (1984) I have shown this off before, but for those who missed it, yes, Virginia, there are Space Odyssey scenarios using the Star Frontiers system. So if you want to recreate the scenes from the movie with an incompatible system, seek them out.
Red Dwarf The RPG (2002) With the recent passing of Rob Grant, I would be remiss if I didnβt turn the spotlight on this one. While this oddity can be hard to find and set you back a pretty penny, what surprises me the most is how many Red Dwarf fans in the hobby seem to be unaware it exists.
Stormbringer, 3rd Edition (1987). The Games Workshop printing arenβt especially rare, but they can be pricey. This, of course, isnβt one of them. Picked up from a vendor, it is a βpersonalizedβ printing of questionable legality, but I couldnβt argue with the $9 price tag.
Endless Quest Series One, 1st printings (1982). The original D&D choose your own adventure books by the impeccable Rose Estes. I chased her all through GenCon 2024 and finally caught her the last day. She spent over a half hour personalizing each signing, while telling stories about their creation.β€οΈ
Between the Devil & the Deep (2022) An Age of Sail supernatural Gumshoe RPG by the Sons of the Singularity. The fun part? Two NPCs look suspiciously like The Titterpigs Podcast hosts. Out of the blue, they asked us for a photo and didnβt say why. A few months later, BOOM, we were in the book.
The Complete Warlock (1978) expanded OD&D with many ideas that later became D&D staples. The book itself isnβt impossible to find but this particular three tone cover is the rarest print run, increasing the value immensely, which the seller learned after selling it to me for pennies on the dollar.
Iβve already done this monthβs ago, so letβs make it more interesting.
1 like = 1 item from my TTRPG library that is rare, obscure, weird, or odd and comes with story about it.
Well, looks like I need to rename my CoC scenario. Looks like itβs been taken.
This little memory popped up today. π
Second call on this. Part Two will drop this Thursday. βοΈπ #pendragon #chaosium #ttrpg #ttrpgs
This all sounds awesome. Iβll have to check into next year as this will be just around our 20th anniversary this summer and we have plans already.
Credit to @sskorkowsky.bsky.social for the inspirational image. π
My wife would like to extend her sincerest thanks to Seth Skorkowsky for waking her at 4am due to my uncontrollable laughter after spotting a fiendishly hilarious image in his newest video. Blink and youβll miss it but the conceit had me rolling. RPG internet victory for today. π
Tonightβs DCC Caverns of Thracia:
The fight with the cult leaders was looking grim. Time to Spellburn. My imp familiar stripped me bare and carved flaming runes across my skin. As they ignited, my magic missile erupted into a storm of meteors. Needless to say, their advantage was tempered. π
Oh totally. Now itβs like smorgasbord of all.
Doing an interview for a novice podcaster: Mics not working, webcams breaking, somewhere a leafblower. Embarrassed host apologizing, believing their inexperience is to blame.
Doing an interview with a seasoned professional podcaster: All the exact same technical issues. Host shrugs & curses Crom
Crom...so grant me one request. Grant me an interview with someone who has a decent condenser microphone and not a crappy webcam mic! And if you do not listen, then to HELL with you!
Yeah. I feel the time and effort to start even a little con is beyond my capacity and patience at my current age, but I would be there to support one should the younglings want to step up.
They have merged. So Strategicon is a three times a year event, that uses OrcCon, Gamex, and Gateway for a secondary naming of each. Problem is it is pretty much the same thing at each one.
Possibly. Could be due to Californiaβs entire lack of basements to sequester ones self in. π
