Information for Williamson Co: Williamson County Emergency Management Agency is opening warming shelters at Fairview High School and Franklin High School. Limited food and animal support services will be available. We'll pass along anything that comes over their socials.
Processing #daisyfleabane today. Itβs been a joy to see them take over my yard and provide food for pollinators (kill yr lawn). I always take a little for myself, too, to keep on hand. This plant has an interesting history within #herbalism. Pictured here next to library books and pottery projects.

My amazing friend Trang and the fabulous SoirΓ©e-Leone Sinclair. Today, we learned about winter fermentation and received our own Pao Cai mixes. Thank you to the Nashville Public Library for always putting on such fantastic events!

Thinking about Miss Stella today. Photo of her with my dad in Colorado over 10 years ago π€ she was an adventure pug.
It took me more than 4 years to capture a scene I could only dream of. A magnificent Condor soars above the peaks of Argentina's Mount Fitz Roy, as they are spot lit in beautiful morning light. πͺΆ

Extreme cold spells (relative thing) havenβt stopped the emerald ash borer in Nashville. It would have to be colder than itβs ever been to eradicate enough larvae (-20, -30) to make a big difference. Cold has certainly slowed their progress in the North compared to Southern states.
From a recent walk through a trail in NY. The circular roots called for me to step inside (I only halfway did). I constantly think about being back there.
