Sure, those poorly fitting clothes could be a sign of the usual White House grifting, but what if they're just having a fun time larping The Incredible Shrinking Man?

Another nice review for Wiz Duos 3. I'm really proud to be part of this book.
Everyone Is Lying To You For Money applies every single part of society, industry and politics since the NFT craze, but also I cannot wait to see this movie finally talk about the pyramid scheme that is crypto and the 'billionaires' pushing it so they can take your real money for their fake bitcoin.

Principles of Boogie Management.
It's amazing! From the sentence level stuff up to how the whole thing is structured. Absolutely sucked me in.
The platonic ideal of a good boi.
Well thatβs a very pleasing review. FYI @r-emrys.bsky.social @aknighton.bsky.social @rozc.bsky.social @hierath77.bsky.social
Earth and Hearth: in this month's Small Press Dispatch, @chloroformtea.bsky.social looks at the juxtaposition of form and theme in two quite juxtaposed novellasβRuthanna Emrys's THE SHELTERING FLAME and Andrew Knighton's WALKING A WOUNDED LAND (@wtpress.bsky.social)
Unsolicited writing advice, no. 7428:
Donβt sit at your desk all the time. Try to take regular breaks. Take a walk. Breathe fresh air. Look at trees. It helps.
Maybe we need a parallel scheme to the Human Authored one, but for books that are actually written by the people whose names are on the front. Perhaps we could call it "Author Authored".
Everything's better in the countryside, right?

The cover of Wiz Duo book 3 with stories by Ruthanna Emrys and Andrew Knighton. The images are an old, wooden house seen against a mountainous background for Ruthanna's story; and a hiker walking towards the sunset in Andrew's.
Love novellas? In Wiz Duo #3, Ruthanna Emrys saves a young girl from an angry mountain, and Andrew Knighton investigates the death of an old friend. wizardstowerpress.co...
Steve's work is always fascinating & atmospheric, really looking forward to this one.
Nightkeeper is finally out! Early reviews suggest it might make you cry and also get you creeped out about being stuck in a rock fissure underwater, so if that sounds like your jam then you can ACTUALLY BUY IT IN BOOKSHOPS!!!
Happy BookDay to me!

Today's writing features cats, music, & sustainability. Feels unusually cosy for me.
According to some reports, Stephen King and other famous names are in there. I sincerely hope the people with money and lawyers take Grammarly to hell over this.
"I watched the Melania documentary so you didn't have to--" nah bro, I needed you to fold my laundry or rotate my tires.
5 panel comic P1: an angry Mario on the left stares at an equally angry Sanic on the right. Above them is the text "can there ever be peace" P2: An extreme closeup of a snarling Mario. P3: Similar to the above, but Sanic. P4: Both characters near each other, eyes squinted with determination, reaching out to one another to perform the final feed. P5: They passionately embrace and kiss, tongues intertwining.
SFF folks: if, for a certain podcast, I wanted to talk to a critic/scholar/reader about McCaffrey's PERN, who should I talk to? I know lots of folks are familiar/have thoughts, but I'm struggling to narrow it down.
Concur. Have long said that the hardest critical writing is to lucidly share and explain oneβs passion for a work. Not βWow, this is great!β but detailed explanation of why one finds it so.
Negative is easier.

Oho very intriguing -- @catrambo.bsky.social is putting on a workshop for people less interested in early-career workshops and more for "I'm already published and I wish to level up with Massively Amazing Experts"!
It feels like a day for a blog post.

The cover for the novel Forged for Royalty by Andrew Knighton. Three swords crossed across a crescent moon inside a ring, against a background of swirling green and yellow. Text next to the cover: War has come to Estis, as Raul and his allies try to free their homeland. But Raul is also battling with his own future and the forces thrust upon him; with the dangers of politics, magic, and love. The fate of a nation lies on the shoulders of a fake chosen one, an idealist forced into bitter compromises, an uncertain hero for a troubled age. Can a rebellion built on lies lead to a better future?
New book day!
A fake saviour, a one-handed warrior, & a shape-shifting actor set out to free nation. But can they survive a web of politics & prophecy? The story that began with the award-nominated Forged for Destiny reaches its thrilling* climax.

Cover of Wiz Duo Book 2. Art by Roz Clarke. The images are of a shield superimposed on a flying dragon, and a girl with a hole through her belly.
Love novellas? How about two in one book? In Wiz Duo 2, Juliet Kemp sends a reluctant knight on a quest, while E M Faulds gives her heroine a superpower that totally sucks.
