Happy first 7p sunset of 2026, Denver! Weβll have 7p or later sunsets until September 20th.

Sunday gratitude: I have a couple hours of quiet left this evening. It feels like life is turbulence 80 percent of the time and trepidation the other 20. That's a horrible way to make this journey. I have a cup of tea and a book tonight. Everything else is a chore. Push on. Hang in there.

30 minutes of core and flexor work with just me and my chair. I don't think I'd have made it sane to the end of the day without my music. Don't let the insanity creep into your brain; make sure it's already full of songs.

welp, that didn't go so great
Finally a nice snow in Denver. My chores are done and pot pies in the fridge for dinner tonight. I think this is a reading day, but first I have to finish watching Drake men's bball dismantling the conference's number one seed in the MVC tournament.
I'll take it.
Sunday gratitude. At least I was productive this weekend. Missed out on a couple chances to work out, but my chores and errands are done. I'm not feeling great about the world, trying to keep spirits up with music, but I think things are going to suck for a while.

Of all Presidementia's prior State-of-the-Unions I've not watched in the past, tonight's State-of-the-Union is the State-of-the-Union I'm not watching the most. ππ«
Sunday gratitude for a surprise breakfast invitation from my dad. We ate and talked and laughed and it's all I needed. To bed now...

Thanks women's US hockey. You got me all pumped up for the rest of the day. Well done!
This is still the last time it snowed in Denver.
Tonight, every Nuggets fan is a Big Stiff in his honor.
Sunday gratitude: Short week ahead; I started taking a long weekend once a month about a year ago, and it's a great boost for mental health. Tonight, I am quiet and satisfied, errands run, chores complete, head clear. I'm going to sit with music, a game, and later a book. Quiet life. Works for me.

1. It's not really going to look that much like a heart.
2. Some part of it is going to be overcooked, another part undercooked.
3. You don't cut a round pizza that well to start with. I don't know how you expect to properly slice a heart-shaped one.
Sunday gratitude: It was a bad weekend, so I can't look back on good memories. But I am ready for the week and have an hour or so for music and stretching. My health is good, working out is paying off, I get to keep trying.

Spring doesn't start till I get older.
Sunday gratitude: I have a basketball game on quietly, stretching muscles after probably too much sitting this weekend. Chores are done, taxes are done, errands are done. I'm looking forward to a quiet week (at least personally). I feel healthy. I have the hunger back for reading and music and fun.
I'm so glad I get to see Jok play basketball again.
Feels like the world is on fire. People who root on evil tire me deeply. This weekend has got to build something else inside me, so it's lunch at a favorite Mexican spot with a friend tomorrow, then a lot of trying to paint on Saturday. Soundtrack: youtu.be/rvJe5TxTy-Y?...

Sunday gratitude for a phone call from Dad this morning. For the good ache that has lasted all weekend after a training session on Friday. For my health. For a warm house tonight. Let's hope for sunshine soon, literally and otherwise.
