Hey ratties, hope you're doing good... It might be a while until the next video. Today, Loulou, my grandfather, passed away. I've always been myself on this channel, though I never really got personal. However, he was such an important and influential figure in my life that I cannot keep this to myself. He made me the person I am today, taking care of me throughout my entire childhood and after, always here when I needed advice or motivation. If it wasn't for him, this channel wouldn't be what it is today. He's the first person I went to when I was thinking of going full-time on YouTube, and he's the one who really encouraged me to go forward with it. Every time I would put out a video, he would be watching it in its entirety, and tell me how much he loved it, even though he couldn't understand English. He's always been so supportive. A great man with an even greater heart of gold, always putting others before him and helping them before helping himself. He was a genuine legend, an incredible paternal figure and my mentor. I feel so lost without him, and I'm still struggling to come to terms with things. I know he would want me to keep moving forward, and I will; for him. I'm just not sure how to yet.

Recently, I've discovered and been listening to Euthanasia by Will Wood, and it hit particularly close to home.

Here's a few pictures I've never shared, of my first rat, Splinter, that I got over 9 years ago.

He was the sweetest guy, and I still miss him just as much as the day I lost him.

He's the entire reason I love rats. I've always been a bit of a social recluse, and his company helped me through really tough times. For the two and a half years I had him, he was my best friend, always so full of energy, love and care. He was so incredibly smart too, and I miss him every day.
