today is marie day and i have nothing new for it, so instead have some maries (some in mom form) from the archives that i haven't gotten around to posting here yet for some reason.
see? it's technically new if you've never seen it before. efficient procrastination, just as she would have wanted.

i have nothing new for mario day and will have nothing new for marie day mostly because workload piled up from circumstances outside my control.
also marianne takes priority with me, obviously.
writing today for marianne reminded me of why i started being a creative in the first place: having a passion for something i can truly call my own and be proud of.
full steam ahead won't be monthly anymore and instead be when the time is right but there are plenty of stories still to tell :]

the initial sketch of marianne i came up with back in march 2020 from the inside of a field office in brooklyn. all of this stemming from reading over a conversation between two friends about their ocs the night before that motivated me to create something i can truly call my own. yeah this is extremely rough around the edges, one of the first drawings i had done in years at the time but hey we all have humble beginnings.
a marianne from 2022 following heavy refinement to her design with the background inspired by a comm i received from lwb back in 2021 that helped solidify her apprearance. i really need to update that wrench to make it more of her own. also in the back is a model of Tinkertoy No. 923 (now numbered TBD) in the DrillBreaker, as mentioned in multiple of her stories and to be featured in Journey to the Center of Nothing.
a marianne from 2024 following an overhaul to her outfit to give her more of a steampunk feel rather than just basic shirt. please say hi back to her.
and lastly, the most recent marianne of mine from a year ago today, featuring kim in the background before her minor tuneup in september, back when i was still choosing between emotive or static glasses for the drummer. happy birthday marianne, you are forever my heart and soul.
today is march 9th, meaning it's my darling tinkerer marianne's birthday and six years since starting full steam ahead. while i have no new art for her on this special day due to a load of time constraints and seasonal rut, let me take you on a journey of marianne's past from her origin to now.
figured why not dip back into the well of my old passions with writing after two years away with learning to love yourself. style's shifted a bit that's hopefully for the better and i hope you enjoy my gift to my passion.
