Yeah, that tracks, then.
I find myself resigned to "I hate that I know about it at all" with alarming frequency lately.

Okay I give up.
What's the furry knees discourse all about?
Honestly don't let me sour you on it just because I'm a grumpy old goat - there's plenty of great stuff going on there.
I actually did enjoy S1. It had good characters, and gave a strong sense of identity to the Federation as an entity. The show just kept trying to constantly escalate the stakes, though, and at some point every episode just became too exhausting to absorb.
As a person who's just plain really bad at games, I *also* don't want this. I want better in-game tutorials and standardized difficulty settings.
A grey hoodie with text which reads: βBuy a man eat fish, He day, teach fish man To a lifetime.β
Wise words
Perhaps trite, but itβs more important than ever to buy a man eat fish.
Okay Apparat's new album has been my favorite acoustic journey of 2026 so far

And I should clarify here that I'm not really an AI apologist - I largely see this technology doing more harm than good.
But I think anti-AI discourse often becomes conspiratorial in ways that aren't helpful.
I see this as a magnified parallel of the dotcom boom, where once it pops, the nonsense will go away and the genuinely useful (and largely pretty boring) stuff will keep being a thing.
It won't be grand, bold AGI visions, though. It'll be fancy spell-checkers and test case automation.
Indeed, the only thing I know with certainty about AI is that it's financially unsustainable and is going to stop working when the investor fantasy money dries up.
Honestly? This explains the current extremely weird shape of this tech space better than just about anything else I've heard.
Yeah that sadly seems to be the easiest way to turn laziness into money with this new tech.
It turns out it actually is pretty good at filling the Internet with slop though, so I guess thatβs something?
Itβs like developing something cool and then doing a keynote where you actively demonstrate the things its worst at because those sound the most impressive, and the fact that it canβt actually do them is considered a detail.
This really is the frustrating heart of itβ¦the machine actually IS GOOD at scoped, specific tasks, when used skillfully and responsibly by a competent operator, but all this is so wildly disconnected from the hype machine that it might as well be a coincidence.
I'm adopting this now. I'll let you know how it works out.
What's the point of trolling if you don't commit?
It's okay, Copilot told a project manager that customers demanded this.
Illustration of an anthropomorphic mountain sheep. He is wearing leather pants, cuffs, armbands and a bulldog harness. He also has earrings. He is shirtless and is grabbing his groin area.
