Yes.
@dungeonnewbs.guide
I am the Dungeon Newb's Guide! I teach and talk about TTRPGS! By day I am a voice actor! You might hear me in video games (Payday 2, Joyville 2, etc...) or on Youtube! He/Him/? and a proud pansexual dynamo! Compassion 1st, BLM, free Palestine, all the good
Yes.
That moment when you go from "Oof, I don't think I slept very well last night," to "Why do I feel even more tired than...wait...am I getting sick?"
*tab structure.
It's been a few years since I last visited Milwaukee. Looks like I just got a great new reason to go!
Yeah, the frustrations are adding up. I'm just really invested in the workspaces and tan structure. But damn if I'm not having to pull up a different browser to compliance someone more and more as the updates keep coming...
This is the last. fucking. straw. The shambling corpse of the so-called NYT is finally dead and buried.
And fucking Blood Meridian of all things! The hubris!! These idiots got in the ring with Muhammad Ali like they had any chance at all. Shame. SHAME.
Btw, I already mostly made a system that users a roulette wheel. It wasn't very good, or practical, and I'll never ever let you see it.
If you think for a moment that my post was for/against dice in TTRPGs, you are wrong.
"TTRPGs don't need dice!"
[Hoists a full sized roulette wheel onto the table]
"Now...bet on initiative!"
Still giving your money to WOTC is a fucking wild choice. You are funding someone who is ok with full throated transphobia.
Chris Cocks believes you should just separate the art from the artist, which is impossible when the art directly funds transphobia.

To this day I cannot look at my Uncle "6ft cardboard standup of Trump is my only birthday decoration" the same. It would have been better if I walked in on him pooping on a picture of some puppies.
Look, I needed a an example that was disturbing but not beyond heinous. It's all I could think of.
Disclaimer: This sorta-silly post is not an excuse to stagnate. Continue to grow and learn. The future is now, ya oldie!
In your 30s you will find yourself saying things like "I don't get the kids these days" or "I'm getting old..." You will think you mean it. You don't.
Then one day in your 40s, maybe 50s, you say that...and you'll realize just how deeply you now mean it. You're old now. For real. It's gonna be ok.
I canβt live like this anymore. Sandwiches are better cut vertically. I donβt know why youβre all pretending diagonal is better. This is how you make a Joker.
SAY IT LOUDER! YES!
Especially with sandwiches that have a lot of loser fillings. You cut that diagonally, and those corners have NO filling support. You've got stuff falling out before you can even take a bit.
Verticalists, unite!
In ttrpgs, I think you should do the RP and then roll to see how well it went.
People seem to think you fail at something because you werenβt eloquent enough.
Sometimes, no matter how good your argument, no matter how impassioned your speech, youβre not gonna reach them
Less of an issues is more non-traditional games, but still something I see a little too often. Like, it can be funny every so often, but every failed "hit" shouldn't be an indication of how incompetent a character is.
So much better to say something like "Your shot is lined up perfectly, but a moment before you loose your arrow, by the worst of luck your bowstring chooses now to snap!" Hey, I still get to deal with a notable, interesting complication without having to look like fantasy Mr. Bean.
I feel the same, even in combat. Like the "You rolled a nat 1, so you fire your arrow backwards haha," GM slapstick. I'm supposed to be a competent adventurer. It kinda takes me out of it when the dice *apparently* dictate that I'm a damned clown.
Iβm gonna be honest: people are REALLY bad at telling what is persuasive or not.
One look at the internet makes this clear but, when teaching improvisers, we spend a lot of time breaking people of habits that either kill scenes or have them going around and around forver.

Those rug cleaning videos online make it look so fun and satisfying.
Turns out, that shit is hard fucking work! I think those powered scrubbers might be easier than scrubbing by hand...
I got done, took a shower, and just put on my pajamas. Today is done. I yield the remainder of my time.
Teamβs been hard at work on this! Beekeeper and Angler coming soon!
A bluesky post from IGN saying "Crimson Desert's Fast Forward button lets you speed through dialogue, sparking a debate among fans," with an image of the game which looks like a bog-standard medieval city.
Outrage content is exhausting.
"Ooo, can you believe we posted this? Are you replying with how silly an article this is? Oh nooo, please, stop all the engagement."
Just walk away. Ignore them. They want you to think it is dumb.
They love that you hate it.
They are *desperate* for you to hate it.
TTRPG SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT:
CW: CSA materials
I've just heard from a trusted source (with evidence linked below)
that @ colbosch. bsky. social was arrested in June last year for possession of CSAM.
Sharing this info so that others can look into it for themselves and keep themselves safe.
Ok, I won't be a tease. It's Payday 2, and to hear me you have to stealth all the way into an auction house on hard difficulty and listen outside of the correct area. I have a conversation about "da boss."
I then have a similar conversation about "da boss" on a later mission on a cruise ship.
I am a voice in a video game that has sold tens of millions, but even if you played it, you probably never heard me.
Doesn't sound too fake, I guess, but it's the best I've got .

Totally agree. The show...I mean, I absolutely love it, but nostalgia is definitely doing some heavy lifting there. It's amazing and wonderful in that campy 80s-90s way that will always been close to my heart, but there have been some shockingly good TMNT iterations since then.
