Okay not as bad at my house. Is what it is. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ frankly let the kiddos enjoy a Friday of books, TV, and goofing off. They're good kiddos and can have some joy in this current hellscape of a world.

Holy shit
Uhhhh..... Wasn't it supposed to have weathered outside? It looks like it didn't weather and I have kids home from school. ☹️👎
A cool project by @wgbh.org "hosting listening sessions to hear from residents" and "produce multi-media stories to provide a clearer picture of these key [gateway] communities in our state."

Whoa whoa whoa whoa. Hold it right there. That kinda thinking would make folks think you're new to Worcester and how it does things. :D
Next you'll be saying we should limit double and triple overtime of WPD in order to fund things residents actually want.
I'd be curious about what the experts would have to say related to the safety concerns. While everyone has certainly had their opinion, the important thing is what the science/data show and how it would actually impact safety.
Do you know what their particular opposition is to this project? Do they just not like it or are the concerns based in some sort of science/evidence based perspective?
No arguments there. though I do feel like additional sidewalks and narrowing in certain locations could assist in making people slow down.
honestly, feels like an intersection where a traffic circle could be beneficial. Though in fairness, I’d argue the same for the intersection of forest and Salisbury, assuming that they could take property from the front of the tavern to do so.
Anyone in #Worcester know what's happening with this project? I feel like this is an intersection that would definitely benefit from some calming as well as redesign. I've heard nothing since this article last year. www.telegram.com/story/news/l...
everything else looked like this.
I spotted it from my kitchen windows. We have a good stand of pine trees between us and the neighbors, and it looked like it was raining inside the pine trees.
I was just talking about this! So cool going out to see all the ice melting off of the branches and giving the illusion of rain.
Very rewarding work to be a volunteer on this committee. Here's hoping the city council agrees with our recommendations.
CPC meeting went quite well in my opinion. Recommending a number of projects for funding. A few reductions in order to spread the wealth. For projects that didn’t receive funding we had some recommendations that will hopefully help guide them if they opt to apply again next cycle.
More CPC items tonight. Discussion about what to recommend for funding and at what amounts. Should be a busy meeting this evening. Glad to have so many applicants.
Agreed. I recall a specific time of year where the sun was blinding me at my home desk setup due to the angle at 3ish in the afternoon.
The great explanation. 👍
New England problems:
I want my windows open so I get some natural light in, but I’m getting too much glare off of the snow from our storm yesterday. Guess I’ll be wearing shades during my meetings. 😎
CPC Meeting moved to Wednesday. Should be a busy one as we discuss what projects to recommend for funding.
One of my favorite times to go out is during a snow storm. Was a blast on bicycles (as falling in the snow / snow gear is reasonable cushioned) and also fun for a walk through the parks. Quiet and beautiful.
Did mine last night. Have to do a wellness check on it and the hydrant across the street later this AM.
"In RI, the storm shattered a record. T.F. Green Airport in Warwick recorded 37.9 inches during the storm, breaking the record of 28.6 inches set during the Blizzard of ‘78."
Forget the blizzahd of '78! Gonna be telling my kids and grandkids about the blizzahd of '26!
Both. I may have lived here for nearly 20 years but I will never acclimate.
Happy to be added
Love it.
Yeeeeesh. How?
Same.
