Where to do we land ethically on this? Can I still claim this as my work, since it’s still my algorithm, just implemented in a different language?

I wrote a sudoku solving algorithm yesterday in Go, but wanted to host it on my PHP website.

Instead of rewriting it all from scratch, I dumped my project files into Claude and it translated my work into JavaScript and a nice HTML interface.

My dad’s in the same boat as you. Has the 13 mini and is thinking about upgrading. The β€œe” is just going to disappoint. You can’t hell the screen size and end up losing a lot of functionality you’re familiar with for a savings of $100?

If you use MagSafe, AirTags, or macro photography get a 16.

I Own My Name, Again You should take the time to buy at least one domain and establish your home on the web.

Third post this week about owning your own domain.

The "e" only exists as the bottom rung on the price ladder to push you to the regular iPhone and to test the C1 with an audience who doesn't care about phone performance.

Just buy the regular iPhone. One less hour of battery than the e, but ultra-wideband 5G, magsafe, two cameras, and camera control for $100 more.

I've never seen that before? Plenty of spam texts from carrier emails, but never subscriptions to blogs.

Weeknotes 1: A Machine's Death

Second post this week is all about trying a new style for me: public journaling. It’s a first pass at sobering new, so any feedback would be greatly welcomed.

What does your personal home page look like? I could use some inspiration.

AI Won't Replace Writing Paul Graham wrote an essay saying in a couple decades, most people won't be able to write because of AI. I disagree.

An oldie but a goodie I wrote a little bit ago. tristan.cx/p/ai-wont-re...

I need this to go away when I highlight text outside of a text field. How is this supposed to help me? I’d much rather have β€œLook Up” here.

Gonna call that shit β€œnyoom” 🏎️ like the sound race cars make and build a virtual shell so you can finally just build shit without having to learn a bunch of extra stuff.

Menu animations on the iOS app are sluggish. I don’t need a slow pull when I’m trying to repost.

I'm going to eat toast for breakfast but this does not mean that I do not appreciate other breakfast foods & I don't mean to imply that other meals are lesser. I simply enjoy toast in the mornings but it's also okay if- (1/16)

Why writers use platforms Platforms offer a number of benefits over self-hosting your writing. One is the network effect. Us writers, the little parasites we are, latch onto a big whale platform and benefit from its marketing department.

How to get the system's EOL character with Deno If you're looking for a predefined function to return the system's end-of-line (EOL) value in Deno's standard library, you'll be disappointed. Luckily, it's possible to write your own in a pretty small function.

Wondering if like guides like this would interest people. Not just about Deno either, anything technical https://ham.onl/eol-deno
