But unlike Venezuela, the middle east has a wildcard(Israel), which might try to sabotage what trumps hoping to achieve. I still think trump is anti-war, just not in the way people usually mean. He seems willing to take strategic risks instead of launching an outright war.

I’m not sure, but I think trump might actually succeed in achieving some of his goals. He doesn’t really seem to be aiming for full regime change. Like in Venezuela, it looks more like he’s trying to find a moderate figure he can negotiate with.
