same. The nostalgia thing doesn’t work for me .. just brings long dormant thoughts to the surface
Exactly how I feel at these things. I appear to be the only one questioning everything and not enjoying myself.

Myself, Chris and Richard sat upstairs in their parent’s loft painting the labels and then hand writing the titles on these 7”s. Every second track had to have a different song title. The first record I was ever on. This copy currently lives in Osaka.

This was the latest in a line of cuts I've been honoured enough to do for The Declining Winter - the 7" sold out as soon as it went on sale, but still worth checking out/purchasing the downloads :

From a year ago: Wrote about records from The Declining Winter, Charlie Kaplan, The Smashing Times, and Market:
Album cover
Ross Parfitt & Tirath Singh Nirmala - Stones and Fences Vol 1 - some prime murk n gloam from these two Hood-alums (please clap) that kicks up a bit of dust but remains fairly pleasant throughout. Reminds me of Stephan Micus in spots.
real special gear from A New Line (Related) aka Andrew Johnson - erstwhile member of Hood and The Remote Viewer - with 30 minutes of mostly drum-less gear in the spirit of Dave Moufang's Reagenz, via Pub and Rhythm & Sound

also, massive and eternal props to The Remote Viewer, one of the great forgotten bands of our time - if you've any interest in Hood, Talk Talk, Pole, Bark Psychosis or even the contemporary Escho+related scene - we strongly recommend spending some time

ALBUM OF THE WEEK: ‘I Wonder When They’re Going To Destroy Your Face’ by Prolapse
Prolapse deliver one of the finest comeback records in recent memory, marrying noisy post-punk grit with motorik drive, sharp lyricism, and smart vocal trade-offs.
