NHL refs are out of control with their discretionary interpretation of the rules to support their so-called “game management”.

They also were not calling Gallagher for interference until after the fight.

I agree, but it’s also because the team is committed to building internally through drafting and developing. As KH said, they’ll make moves that “help the team in the long run” and “consistent with their ultimate goal” - being perennial contenders.
