You’re probably paying for that regardless but I get what you’re saying. Nothing is actually free these days.
@lionserr
Editor & copywriter by day, serial hobbyist also by day bc I need a lot of sleep at night. Embroidery, cloud watching, archery, reading, piano, painting, and worrying about the current state of the world (not my favorite hobby but there nonetheless).

You can watch PWHL games for free on YouTube!
Listening to what people educated on world politics have to say about everything with Iran really makes me feel like the end of the world is here, the consequences just haven’t caught up to that fact for us here in the US yet.
Donated. I hope you win 💕
The Latin name for the Oregon white oak is Quercus garryana of the Fagaceae family and idk that kinda feels like a hate crime.
If I’d been a boy I would’ve been named after my grandpa, Maynard 🙃
There’s a guy practicing the violin in the park 🥹 I love seeing people unabashedly try new things.
Something feels particularly sinister about being fed a GLP-1 commercial at Every. Single. Commercial. Break. while watching the Olympics on the Peacock app.
So, my dog died a few weeks ago, and what is still the hardest part is being out and about and realizing that there’s no one at home waiting for me. Knowing I’m coming home to an empty house is what makes me miss him the most.
If anyone in Washington wants to get involved in the fight for universal healthcare, @wholewashington.org is an org that’s been fighting for just that for years!
Like, yes, gamifying chores by seeing how many dishes I can put away in the 2 minutes it takes to reheat my leftovers in the microwave DID make the kitchen the least cluttered it’s been in a week. Ugh.
I hate that sometimes those mental health/executive functioning tips you see online are right.
I’m a copyeditor and proofreader with experience at a lit mag and with full length nonfiction :)
My rent is gonna jump up $120 + a $40 parking fee we never had before, and I went into the office to ask what that was about, and they lowered the rent increase by $25. So this is your sign that it literally pays to be annoying (but also nice about it, I think that helped a lot).
(The joke is piracy)
I paid $144
Yep, I just had to pay out of pocket in WA bc my insurance refused to cover it. I didn’t need a prescription but I did have to verbally say and sign on the intake form that I was immunocompromised.
My insurance refused to pay for my Covid vaccine I got 2 days ago in WA. I had a note from my doctor but not a prescription.
Well, it turns out I didn’t have to *prove* eligibility, but I did have to say I was immunocompromised AND my insurance wouldn’t cover it so I had to pay out of pocket 😑
It says a lot about the state of the country when I’m *extremely excited* that I was able to get a Covid vaccine appointment, same day, and they said I don’t have to prove eligibility 🙌🏼
But honestly I didn’t even mind. It was all for stuff I genuinely believe in and love doing, so I was happy to do it.
I worked 12 hours today. Happy Labor Day!
That is a helpful update, thank you!
Tried to make an appt at Walgreens yesterday and they already greyed it out so I couldn’t 🙃 hoping maybe my PCP will let me. So frustrating.
*screaming crying throwing up* (good)
I’m in the final round of interviews for the biggest job of my life and I think I’m just going to be in a constant state of anxiety until it’s all over 🙃
How I spent my weekend 🐎 🏹
I’m out paddleboarding and 2 bald eagles swooped down into the lake to try to catch something just a few yards away from me and part of me wishes I had been able to get that on video but I’m also just grateful I got to witness that at all. Wow.
Donated :)
Absolutely. I’ve noticed most spellcheckers are autocorrecting to truly wrong things now since AI. Like telling me to change a correct word into a clear typo, just had that happen to me in a Google doc.
