It's Bigger On The Inside!
It's Bigger On The Inside!
Stephen King did a parody of Reader's Digest Condensed Books as part of one of his short stories. That's what this reminds me of.
Granted, I read a lot of Condensed Books as a teenager...and still wish my Dad hadn't thrown out the ones I inherited from his sister.
Could someone tell me where Away is, so I could get there?
Sand and hills and rings. A fly with no buzz and a sky with no clouds.
I wonder if anybody else realized that Putin can nuke the States into a huge radioactive crater NOW and the rest of the world would cheer him on?
How Krafty.
FWIW, I got my Tax Return forms today, and frankly it is hard to get motivated this time around to crunch the numbers for Uncle Sam's grease.
IMO the only benign thing about this situation is that drones that would have gone from Iran to Russia's strikes on Ukraine are being expended and destroyed en masse over the Gulf. Bear Monday is TODAY.
ANNOUNCEMENT: Kodama is officially adopting the Handmade label and committing to a clear Human-Made production standard. We do not use generative AI in translation, lettering, editing, design, or creative content. Every Kodama book is translated, edited, and lettered by human professionals credited accordingly. We will be formalizing this with our partners in the coming weeks! Kodama is made by people, for people. Image attached of a hand making a peace sign with the text handmade underneath it.
Over on the other site, @kodamatales.bsky.social's co-founder announced they will be adding anti-ai used labels to their books.

Is there any better reason to Rock The Casbah than the simple fact that the Shareef Don't Like It?
Already I'm seeing panic buying of gasoline and gas stations shutting down pumps Stateside. I work in a tourism job; I firmly suspect I'll be out of work very soon.
Need to ask again. My budget is $170K; needs to be a property that qualifies for FHA as I don't have enough savings for a conventional mortgage downpayment. Again, needs to be immediately habitable.
Once Upon A Time (pre-Internet) I did "Amateur Hour" on an alternative AOR radio station. This song was on my playlist.
I wound up getting the Layzner itself and the Gazzette helicopter. Both were poor choices.
I wanted that Superman Corgi toy when I was twelve. But part of me was already thinking "I could do better than that".

Deadline is now March 2...but I'm still open to more candiates for consideration.
Months later we both wound up backstage for a local TV talk show segment and I said "Hi Lee, nice to see you again!"
I saw a very bored Lee Greenwood sitting alone at an autograph table for the grand opening of a Kohl's department store in Knoxville. I was on my lunch break from Borders Books so I couldn't exactly approach him or stuff, and I didn't want him to treat me like a fan.
Hey, the wheels are all the same size! It's one of those Formula E cars!

Now that Moltbook is going, are we going to see "Oh No They Moltn't"? "Am I The Crab Hole"?
The Japanese sailors in disguise as Christmas trees in Spielberg's 1941? Anybody?
I'm a party to the MidJourney class action suit because two of my late mother's novels were identified as scraped content. Just this week I find that others of hers were scraped by other AI operations. She only had a dozen published works in her lifetime and never broke out of midlist romance.
ko-fi.com/s/8d8ecc6082 <- In support of my friend David Farris. Any little bit helps.
He'll be first against the wall when the hammer falls.
Boy after my own heart. I did that in '77 or '78. Right before school picture day.
