Watching bald eagle nests - Everyone in Delta helps me! I get lots of comments, messages & when I’m out and about - lots of great folk stop to chat! when the babies hatch (soon) I set up my tripod & make sure everybody that passes by stops to look at babies😄🦅

After birds - the other thing I love are trees - trees in all seasons but like birds, I love them in winter - when they’re stark and bare and arm like branches reaching up in surrender to the sky - such beauty! ✨🖤✨
We get some incredible wildlife here in BC 🇨🇦 (bear, lynx, wolves) but I love the migratory sandpipers! These little birds fly in massive flocks of up to 80,000 birds to overwinter in our Fraser river delta returning to summer breeding grounds in the Arctic - now that is wild! #worldwildlifeday

Exciting news - it looks like the new nest this bald eagle pair built recently is being used! I spent the day monitoring Bald eagle nests - this one is very special to me as it’s built above “plastic nest” where 2 babies died last season! I hope it is successful🦅❤️🇨🇦 I think I’ll call it “hope nest”
