Dartmoor is so close to where I live in the UK that this was such a perfect game for me to teach and play for BoardGameGeek!
Go give it a watch and a friendly comment and maybe they'll invite me back for more episodes ๐

I'll risk exposing this AI slop to a new audience for the hopefully greater good of making people aware of how lazy and hacky this stuff is. There's literally zero reason to use AI for this format of content assuming even that it's not AI written (๐)
Value real people and real work over AI, always.
So what's the best way to combat this from a viewer perspective? I don't wanna give them views, I'm certainly not gonna engage with their content, but will a preemptive block be better than a thumbs down and a 'do not recommend'?
What's the point of having a gaming get together in an old English manor if you can't get a couple of family group pictures from one of your favourite game systems?
Unmatched by @restorationgames.bsky.social
Ok so is this game set in Wales?! Because that's the welsh word for 'amazing'!
Yes please!
That's basically how it seemed to me, but I still wanted to try it, ideally with a teacher! Any chance you want to play it when we're next together (whenever that may be)? ๐
I know you're joking but I'm super glad I didn't win; I got a surprise little trophy for the winner and I don't know how it would've looked if I had to present it to myself ๐ I still tried to win though!
Yes... 21... ๐ฌ
I've never played the original, though I've wanted to do a while. My friend put me off as she said she played it once, took them four hours and theyndidn't even get through the first level (might be misremembering the exact term)!
This weekend I turned a big age (๐ซ ) and celebrated by inviting my loveliest, nerdiest friends to a big manor and filling it with food, drunk and most importantly of all; board games.
I even hosted a mini tournament for my favourite game Unmatched! (I came 3rd!)
I feel happy and loved โค๏ธ
These are beautiful!
Oh I've never done that again since I swear, it was more of a 'what if' scenario. A fun experiment. My friend did something a little similar in Quacks, he was losing so he decided to cheat in the last round by looking at the pieces. After the game ended he still lost but immediately came clean!
Guilty! Thankfully they're still speaking to me haha

"Anyway, here's my alt..."
Mine was about the validity of certain lying in a game about deception. I pretended not to understand the rules of the game during set up, which caused my opponents to let their guards down... Only to discover I knew what I was doing the whole time! Cue a big meta argument about whether I won ๐
Question time! Introducing a semi regular bit here on BSky to discuss the hobby with some fun and curious prompts. Today:
"What is the funniest argument you got into as a result of a board game?"
I'll provide my own answer as a reply to this question, but I really want to hear yours!
This is a video about the number of possible outcomes from shuffling one ordinary deck of cards, but put into a more graspable scenario
*spoiler alert* number go very very big
Yeah she's awesome, we've been friends for years! We got to play a coupe of games together with our mutual friend Ben and her partner, twas a lovely time!
That's ok, I sent them this post so there'll be some good news for you on Monday!
Same energy
So #BoardGame publishers - maybe think about whether or not someone who leaves random sexist comments on board game videos is someone you want in the credits of your rulebook as a proofer/editor.

"Ilya, stop posting on Bluesky and finish taking your turn, then maybe we can get through this damn awful game!"
Yay, a nice big f you to AI!
Oh I've been wrong on several occasions as well don't worry!
The Dice Tower don't want politics on their channel because they want the views and the money from as many people as possible. The thing is, if you can't say a very bad thing is bad, you don't deserve a big platform anyway ๐คท
So you like trick taking games, huh?
