Media outlets bend over backwards to be like, “Politician Uses Charged Language That Critics Say Is Potentially Racially Insensitive” and then that politician will post, “NAH I LOVE RACISM!!!”

A Playdate in a dark room, illuminated by a book light that has been affixed to the back by a 3D printed mount.
Afterburner’d my Playdate.
Oh weird. I've been constantly told that the US is in dire need of energy independence and that we need to open up more drilling on wildlife preserves to get that.
No book is going to turn kids into someone else. But books will regularly show kids other people like them and show those kids they're not alone. And they'll show kids other types of people who also exist. There is a large proportion of the population who are terrified of this.
"Mideast War Intensifies" is a classically objective (and only superficially accurate) media headline, and the right wing is *still* going after it. When will media outlets learn. Their job is to tell the truth, not soften reporting to coddle bad actors.
Mech Bunny solo board game. Two hexagonal tiles are my ship, about to take lethal damage from the three enemies surrounding it. The Mech Bunny figure is one location away. In the back are some transparent cards because this is also a card-crafting game.
Here’s me losing Mech Bunny because my escape ship was walloped by enemies while I was stuck one space away. Doesn’t really matter since the forest was on fire (not pictured.) #boardgames
Forget the Zelda timeline, I want the Zen Pinball timeline.
I object to folks acting like we do not understand what they watch! It is highly obvious! We are all aware of it! We know what is on their TVs, they are always on!
"The boomers are still watching the same channels and comfort food action/comedy shows that they have for the past twenty years because they still pay for cable." no, really, do go on
Why are we constantly being told to care about the five million Americans watching Sheriff Country or whatever, and not the fifty million that play Mario Kart.
Friendly reminder there are over 300 million people in this country. Hit shows got more than 3x these numbers in the 90s. Even more in the 70s. Someone watching tv in real time in 2026 (and is willing to tell the Nielsens) is not the “Average American” anymore than someone answering their landline.
Watched an episode of Barney Miller (1978) where a major plot point was the inauguration of Mayor Ed Koch, even used audio of him giving a speech. Some things never change, and the entire country having to know about NYC politics is one of them.
Mike Johnson, Andy Ogles and Randy Fine are all bigots.
I think that one everybody would have known how to pronounce right away. Pokopia seems to have confused some folks.
Probably a good day to just block the NYT.
No, the game itself. Been a red (1) on my games folder forever.
In the interest of getting an app notification badge to finally go away, I am currently working on a playthrough of Lifeline I started about six years ago.
Also seems pretty wild to me that in the years-long wake of Toys R Us’ murder, nobody can figure out “sell toys”?
Ceiling-mounted TV at the Department of Motor Vehicles, in the middle of telling everybody in the waiting room about Pokémon Winds and Waves.
The only video game news source I trust is the DMV.
I was showing my mom an Umamusume race where my trained-up Oguri Cap won after triggering a big fancy animation special power near the end and she was like "well, that's not very fair for the other girls."
Hey Nintendo, while you're at it, go after 'em for brand damagement for using your intellectual property without permission.
called it by about five minutes
Pic from latest Lego catalog, introducing interactive sets that “play back with you and respond to your every move”
Lego Mario looking at this, throwing everything off of his desk, yelling for his lawyer
You’ve done Blippo+, right?
Gen Xers failing the Don’t Become Boomers challenge, again
Imagine reading a light dunk and launching into a gen x defense screed about it.
I'm sorry but the “I have usernames older than you" thing going around is just an "I drank water from the garden hose" variant and I cannot endorse it.
Demo finale screen from Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake. “Thank you for playing! Available March 12th 2026” amd the twins Mio and Mayu are chilling.
You get about an hour out of the demo, but obviously most of it is character setup and “USE L2 FOR CAMERA” since it’s the game’s opening.
I feel like a reasonably priced poker game with fake multiplayer against microtransactioned memeable goofy popcult opponents is a better financial bet than deciding to make the next Fortnite.
