I made it to 2023 when I had to travel to my parents' to pick up my truck, which my dad had borrowed for some yard work. Went up on the train and I was one of two masked people in the car. Two days later I was sick. Of course that was a month after Newsom canceled Covid leave... 🙄

Remember "odds and evens" where you could only buy on specific days if your license plate ended with an odd number, and alternate days if it ended with an even number? I always wondered how they handled personalized license plates under that system.
there was a "very bad flu" going around. Next time we got a shipment in, first week of January, I grabbed a box for myself. (Yes, I paid for them.) And good thing I did, that was the last shipment we got for a while... (Though we still had some at home from the previous year's fire season.)
