This will sound like such a small thing to many, but a long held dream of mine is to get far enough ahead with @debugmag.com that we can show the final cover for βnext monthβ at the end of every issueβ¦
And after three years, that has finally happened. I couldnβt be more happy with that tiny win π
If this places goes away, Iβll probably just stick with βreal lifeβ at that point
Insomnia Gaming Festival website with a password protection screen
Important update regarding Insomnia i74 Dear , Thank you for your interest in exhibiting or planning a group trip to Insomnia i74. I am writing to let you know that the event, scheduled for 30 April - 3 May 2026, will not be going ahead. We had been building what we believe would have been a fantastic event, but despite considerable effort over many months, industry wide reduced investment in live events from major tech and hardware brands meant we couldnβt secure the sponsorship and exhibitor presence needed to deliver Insomnia at the standard our visitors deserve. With rising production costs, moving forward would have meant offering a lesser version of the festival, and we were not willing to do that. We are grateful that you took the time to explore what a presence at Insomnia could look like for your organisation, and we are sorry we were unable to bring it to fruition. Should conditions change and the festival return, we would be delighted to reconnect. Kind regards, The Insomnia Gaming Festival Team Insomnia Gaming Limited 167-169 Great Portland Street, London, England, W1W 5PF Company No: 16620295 Unsubscribe
Insomnia Gaming Festival has been cancelled, and their website is now password protected.

I always enjoy when this does the rounds. There are some truly great outlets listed here!
I donβt remember that at all, but then I was a child and have no idea where my parents bought it from. So youβre most likely absolutely correct!
Sadly, I donβt have the original controllers anymore but I definitely used to!
Will have to keep a close eye out, but based on a quick eBay search it looks like youβre quite right theyβre fairly rare now
Exactly that.
How I ended up with one as a kid in the early-mid 90s, having never lived outside of the UK, is the real mystery here though π€
Sega Mega Drive
I just dug out my childhood Mega Drive. Notice anything interesting about it?
Hint: itβs neither a European or Japanese unit
I had an account for over 20 years, so Iβm actually a little emotional
Text: Your account is deactivated. Sorry to see you go. #GoodBye
Goodbye, Twitter
If it wasnβt obvious, todayβs news has depressed me quite a bit, but in more positive news weβre now three issues ahead with Debug and have negotiated better shipping costs which weβll pass onto our readers.
Theyβre pivoting away from having an audience
Mine goes off multiple times a day when a pigeon flies past it, or next doorβs dog walks into the drive. At this point, I see it as nothing more than a mild crime deterrent.
Another gaming outlet letting staff go and allegedly switching to full AIβ¦
Not good!
Iβve noticed a few people who live and breathe online somehow donβt know what it is. So youβre probably right, it needs to be more obvious what it does
Or a buildup of CO2β¦ Itβs definitely something Iβm considering / looking into
I went for a walk in fresh air, got the blood pumping, had a coffee, and feeling much better now.
Clearly something was wrong for me to sleep almost 24 hours, but Iβm putting it down to exhaustion for now.
What Iβve been genuinely curious about for a long time now is how people find themselves within one. Do they have βrecruitersβ so to speak?
I also canβt find anything, as if items were moved (obviously by me) but I canβt remember where to.
Iβm starting to remember Friday, but not much else throughout the weekβ¦ Little bits here and there.
Did the migraine wipe my memory? This is such a bizarre feeling.
2/2
My brain has gone wrong todayβ¦
A combination of stress and overwork throughthis last week left me feeling severely burnt out, and I went to bed early on Friday with the beginnings of a migraine.
I woke up an hour ago, 23 hours after I left to sleep. And I canβt remember what I did all week.
1/2
Although not the worst price Iβve seen for a sealed copy
Noooo π’
I just got the notification that itβs ready to collectβ¦
Iβve just made the same order, so weβll see what happens!
This definitely comes to mind!
My immediate thoughts are that this can be used to bypass βI am a humanβ prompts / captcha, and that is far from ideal
Text: I launched rentahuman.ai last night and already 130+ people have signed up including an OF model (Imao) and the CEO of an Al startup. If your Al agent wants to rent a person to do an IRL task for them its as simple as one MCP call.
So thereβs a dude over on X who has developed a platform for AI to rent humans.
Apparently 7000+ humans have already signed up to complete tasks on behalf of robots.
This is hilarious, very clever, and highly concerning all at once..
Exactly! And then 10 seconds later that the reality wasnβt as interesting as I had imagined all these years
Anyway, I was so excited to hear the story of what happened.
The answer?
The landlord kicked them out when they sold the building, and the owner retired. Simple as that.
1997-2026
The mystery lived for almost 30 years, and has been solved. My lifeβs quest is finished π
