The fact that NBC can (accurately) call the Administrative Procedure Act “obscure” just shows how little Americans know about how their government works.
It literally is one of the most important laws ever enacted by Congress.

i mean, the president's executive order isn't a goddamn law! as far as this doctor is concerned, who cares what the president says!
The idea that it’s undemocratic to use the powers given to you under state law to remove a corrupt mayor who is essentially being bribed into complying with an administration that’s breaking the law every minute is ridiculous.
jokes aside, the really interesting thing to me here, and with similar posts from other right wing pundits complaining about the performance that I've seen is that there seems to be a mass delusion that Trump's win represented a total cultural victory, not a narrow win in a low enthusiasm election
“Torrenting from a corporate laptop doesn’t feel right”: Meta emails unsealed
A photo of Aaron Swartz (1986-2013) when he was 19.
Last month, Meta admitted to torrenting a controversial large dataset known as LibGen, which includes tens of millions of pirated books. But details around the torrenting were murky until yesterday, when Meta's unredacted emails were made public for the first time. The new evidence showed that Meta torrented "at least 81.7 terabytes of data across multiple shadow libraries through the site Anna’s Archive, including at least 35.7 terabytes of data from Z-Library and LibGen," the authors' court filing said. And "Meta also previously torrented 80.6 terabytes of data from LibGen."
Meta illegaly downloaded 80+ terabytes of books from LibGen, Anna's Archive, and Z-library to train their AI models.
In 2010, Aaron Swartz downloaded only 70 GBs of articles from JSTOR (0.0875% of Meta). Faced $1 million in fine and 35 years in jail. Took his own life in 2013.
Slicker, savvier Dems are hoping a big part of the base will instantly forget the last administration's militant support for genocide and ethnic cleansing, backed by its entire foreign policy team, very much including Samantha Power. But moral rot smells bad. It does not inspire
You can murder someone on the subway and get away with it if you’re the right kind of person and they’re the wrong kind. Increasingly in every facet of life it seems like the concept of law has just ceased to exist
It’s been really weighing on me the extent to which nothing seems bound by any rule other than pure force anymore. A more powerful country can seize territory from a weaker one and no one cares anymore. Hospitals can be leveled and if the doctors are the wrong nationality, it’s no big deal.
Nico Harrison ass
There’s just been a fundamental betrayal of trust that makes it impossible for me to feel safe getting invested in anything they could do from here on out
monument outside the building. If that doesn’t mean anything when it comes to your star player who doesn’t want anything except to be loyal to the franchise, what do I care about this team?
It’s also just the insane disrespect shown to someone who’s dedicated every moment since he showed up as a teenager to the team and to the city, and to everyone who joined this team specifically to be his teammate. My understanding was that I was following the team with a “loyalty never fades away”
I have this weird untethered feeling now that the initial grief has mostly passed. This thing was one of the most important things in my life for more than 20 years and suddenly I don’t care about it at all, as if I woke up one morning and it had blinked out of existence
This is what I think of as a specific kind of ignorance that heavily affects young white guys who work in tech. It says “i don’t know about this, so I assume no one else does either.” It’s new to them, so it must be new to everybody!
I’ve given up on all sports because losing Luka for no reason broke my heart and since then I’ve been tearing through books faster than I have since high school
Theyre really pushing me to my limit here, it’s like they don’t want me to cast my fourth consecutive vote for Donald trump in 2028
Nico Harrison needs to be killed
Boston Sports Gordo @BOSSportsGordo The Red Sox were 68-60. All they needed to do to hit the O78.5 and reward the people who believed in them was go 11-23 in their final 34 games. It’s one thing to mail it in once you’re eliminated, but what the Red Sox have done this month is embarrassing.
talk radio freaks have always found deranged ways to be mad at their teams for losing, but being mad they failed to cover your weird bets is a particularly egregious example of why i despise all the gambling tie-ins with sports now
Are people being weird on here
