I think this type of connection, however it works exactly, can happen between all kinds of people. I’ve experienced it. Others have as well. And maybe this is also connected to what we are told not to lean into when we are younger. And possibly there is a connection to what we do and don’t filter.

I also have a hard time believing that these abilities are only connected to non speaking autistic people. I fear there’s a lot that could be missed with the “neurotypicals are in awe of special abilities” approach

I genuinely wish this whole topic could be approached further with the involvement of autistic people and hearing people’s statements without them being constantly filtered though the podcast.

Thanks so much for writing this down! This is largely how I feel about all of this as a fellow autistic person. I am turned off by the skeptics dismissing it entirely and pushing all of it into the anti-vax/conspiracy section but I am also very skeptical with only this podcast as a source.
