Docker is fucking awesome for cross compiling
I'll be using it for selene, at least for the Linux, Android and Emscripten. Still trying to create a MacOS VM to make some tests on remote compiling via Docker (compile from the VM via SSH), I'm making some tests on BSD.
And the good thing is that […]
but for Linux overall, it's an awesome way to support different systems and architectures. The next thing I want to try is to compile for BSD using a VM and Docker
VSCode editor showing a opened Dockerfile for a Linux container I made to compile my C project. In the files, it shows the generated files by the other containers too.
Playing again with Docker containers for cross platform compilation, the Emscripten and Android container sizes are bigger than just install the SDK and cross compile in the host, but it's nice to be able to isolate diffent contexts and it's garbage

reorganizei o projeto e adicionei caminhos virtuais

Lua code showing some prints related to the implementation of virtual paths I made for selene, something like print(filesystem.resolve('exec://')), but for "root://" and "user://" as well.
The example running and showing the result of the Lua print in the console.
reorganized the selene project structure (something I wanted to make have some time), and added virtual paths!! (something similar at with what Godot have with "res://" and "user://")

Thats it, I'm moving back all the main development of selene (and other projects of mine) to codeberg
I'll remove some of my projects from github, but still deciding what to make with others, I'll probably archive and add a link to the new repository

@Andre_LA fair enough, in that sense of Discord servers, what I'm thinking is more like different apps, that is what Fediverse already has today (with Lemmy, Pixelfed, Mastodon, Friendica, ...).
But I like the ATProto + PDS model, where you have just one pack of data to access different "App […]
@Andre_LA hmmmm, interesting, didn't know about that. But yeah, I agree, many people care about the security of their data and that stuff, but at the same time, they don't want to choose that much, they need just a reliable service that works. Many of the criticisms that Linux distros receive […]
one thing I think a lot about technology is how it's popularity depends on the user base, not necessarily about how good these technologies are
I was taking a look in Solid, and now I know from where the idea of the PDS from ATProto came. I think the BlueSky team was smart in that one […]
