It was a privilege to be in the chamber earlier to witness this incredibly powerful and effective speech from Charlotte Nichols.
By coming together on 28 March, weโll finally move the dial on racism in this country.
Will you help us?

Are you bothered by the rise of Farage and Reform?
Apologies and thanks if you're already aware and active
Just 30% of the vote can give Reform a majority in Parliament
Follow the US for the direction Reform would try to take us
It's in a billionaire-funded and global fascist alliance with Trump
Thinking of sending this to all UK people I know who might not be as aware and engaged with the Reform threat as they need to be.
Any thoughts?
Is it a good idea or am I desperately clutching at straws from my ineffective feels of being stuck at home and alone for most of my days?

New More in Common poll finds that 55% of British voters want Keir Starmer to prioritise "standing up to Trump", compared to just 27% who say he should prioritise working with him.
74% say they want British forces to have either no involvement in the Iran war or to just offer defensive cooperation.
Looking forward to this one @zackpolanski.bsky.social ๐
We need more of this in our national conversation ๐
How about 'What are the fundamental requirements for human life to flourish?' and 'How do you think we're doing on those?'
Just one question. How will you ensure that young people can engage with ecological, political and social debate?
Will this be coming out in @thenerve.news? ๐๐ป
There are men amongst us who see those connections too ๐๐ป
To restore democracy and create a fairer, safer, greener world, we need massive taxes on the ultra-rich. As in the 1940s. People get confused about this. The main purpose of such taxes is *not* to raise revenue. The point is to stop the few dominating the many. It's an essential democratic measure.
Reform still has a team Trump player as its head of policy. There's a real possibility that manufactured optics along these lines play jnto Reform's hands. The reality of Reform's alliance with team Trump and billionares is an electoral weight around their neck. We have to keep that in sight.
A journalist who fails to keep it real on the gravity of threat we face from team Trump and its allies does a grave disservice to the planet. Were talking millions of lives lost, hundreds of millions in traumatic circumstances, trillions of $ and decades to heal if we can stop the momentum. Wake up!
George is absolutely right. Here's the article he wrote earlier this year, in case it doesn't carry with the repost. We have to support and vote for UK politicians who resist corporate capture, and we have a three year stretch to communicate that message to everyone. We all need to get involved. ๐๐ป
Those grassroots are awesome. Much inspiration to take and action to learn from. Corporate complicity made me complete full Meta extraction. Thinking about Google next. I see much hope in the UK but we really need to get involved and work together. Democracy is demanding much active participation. ๐๐ป
US and Israeli power murdering more people
We're at a point where a 'rift' between Trump and Farage may play into Reform hands. Meanwhile, Reform's head of policy is JD Vance's "British Sherpa", trying to fix ropes for Reform to climb. Whatever it looks like, this is a global fascist alliance and Farage is but one piece on the board.
I know the Philistines were enemies of Israel but the Israel we see now is SO much more powerful than the humans it kills. If Goliath had been so large in comparison to David, David would have been the size of a small beetle, with a grain of sand for a stone, crushed by a boot made in the US.
What will it take for Americans to remove this lunatic and his psychopathic sponsors from power? How long does this go on for? How many people will be killed first? How many cities will burn?

..3 years, and support and amplify antifascist US voices too. My mind reaches for Gandalf's advice to Frodo, and Thich Nhat Hanh appears at my side for inspiration and comfort. From a British-US politics perspective, it's the heaviest shit I've seen in my 51 years. Heads up. Eyes open. Breathe. Act.
