I'm very fond of these books (which are not YA). They're set in 80s London (my formative years and place) and have some very loose tie in with my other books.
They're relatively short - give 'em a shot!

Fantastic story set in WW2, following the lives of a blind french girl and a german boy, both suddenly dropped into a different world. The importance of doing good, of not conforming, things that are as important now as then!
