Weird moment when you try to play a DVD, and it keeps messing up and VLC crashes, and then you get it out, wipe it down with your shirt, blow off any dust, and it plays perfectly.

Yup, every week, some new shenanigans for our trio, involving some scifi-magic nonsense that teaches a moral for the boys.

I watched it on USA, and it was very much in keeping with the spirit of the John Hughes movie. It came out a long time after the film, which was weird. But yeah, the premise is two horny teenage boys with an electronic genie. They tamed it way down for basic cable, but it wasn't too bad.

Also, the electric ones don't, if they aren't plugged in.
So, that maxim really doesn't hold up to scrutiny.

Watching the original pilot movie for The Incredible Hulk from the late 1970s, and this is excellent writing. Kenneth Johnson wrote and directed it, and recorded a commentary track for this, as part of a cross-promotion with the 2003 Ang Lee Hulk.
I'm looking forward to the commentary track.
