I'm on record as a NEON AURELIUS super fan but Sparrow Warfare is so good man. The deck(tile) building energy with out the unbearable vibe of other games. Just rescuing cool birds and attempting to pop off with daft combos.

We will add maybe 3-5 more before the game is out, aiming for 30-35, enough to create variation but not so many that you don't run into your favourites regularly.

Every day we pick 3 random "modifiers" from a list of 27 modifiers. That's about 3000 possible combinations so we're already set for about 10 years. Except of course some of them exclude others and some enforce others so it's a bit less than that.

The emoji above is for the Misery modifier that we added, shall we say, on popular demand. It's a pain in the peacocks's tail so you're gonna love it and hate it in equal amounts. That and adding remove fire to On Fire makes the card make more sense (and better conform to the tone of the game, I guess). The rest are little fixes and improvements that shouldn't break anything.

Gameplay changes:
Add Misery modifier proposed (discard a random tile when you discard a tile)
The β€œfully heal” tile now also removes burning

Bugfixes:
Cleaned up the start menu a bit and new players get a Tutorial button
Made the help overlay more concise
Fix bug where playing X-2-4 doesn’t sort the wildtile in correctly
Better hint texts and cleaned up help screen
Buttons in reward screen correctly disabled now
Badge for innate card now working
Play button helps you a bit with summing up the tile values
Change colour of healing telegraphing to distinguish it from attack
New skip button in intro
Add < and > to tutorial window to show previous tips
Make boss hint box smaller so that question mark doesn’t show up below end turn button
Unstretch snout when pig farm modifier is on
Fixed Windows 10 crash-on-quit bug, hopefully

Fun story: our next game is by the way also about heisting hell (for souls) – very different to yours, from what I get, but a funny coincidence. We prototyped it before I'd read about yours and I even thought about changing our theme but I think hell is big enough for many games.

When I first read the Lord of the Rings, the first book of the three volume edition was not available in the library so I just kicked things off with the second one. Didn't turn that into a habit but honestly it's not the worst way to read that series. Took me ages to figure out who Gandalf is.

I very rarely discard all cards so now I'm confused. Are you sure you're even getting the fire suit? With that, you should have 2-3 triples in your hand per turn – especially with the help of followers. And you will be able to build up a lot of fire on the beekeeper before he wakes up...

Well it makes things easier as well as harder. More opposition is dangerously but allows for opportunities. And for more rewards sooner. So it’s all about finding the balance. I often discard all 1 tiles before ending turn at the early levels. But Way of Song needs different strategies.

That is a very good decision. Enjoy the old stones! Don't forget to aimlessly wander in Rome – stumbling over random ancient buildings between medieval houses has its own charm. They got too much past to even put a plaque on everything.

Have you tried to discard low tiles, so when you end your turn you get better tiles? Have you received wild tiles from the followers behind you? Have you played the wildtiles as the strongest tile possible (2-3-X is often better than X-2-3)? Did you get your flame tiles as soon as possible?
