As part of the Human Past Major Research Program (GPR), we are recruiting a Postdoctral fellowship in biology and taphonomy of Mesolithic and Upper Palaeolithic human fossils from the South-West of France W/M.

Recruitment process: Applications are reviewed as they arrive. Candidates selected for an interview will be contacted by the Recruitment Officer for a first pre-qualification phone conversation. An interview with the supervisor will then be organised by videoconference. The survey aims to better understand how scholars think about bipedalism, its role in defining hominins, and how the frameworks used to study it might be improved.

The IRN Bipedal Equilibrium is funded by the @cnrsecologie.bsky.social. It studies bipedalism through a transdisciplinary, evolutionary, and comparative approach. Its objectives are to advance fundamental knowledge, refine tools, & develop new methodological approaches in the spirit of #openscience.
