Zelensky is not surrendering, he is trying to remain on good terms with the treacherous Trump, who seems to be blackmailed by Putin. Zelensky is in a very very difficult position. I have no doubt that he, personally, does NOT want to surrender any Ukrainian territory, even Crimea.
