An interesting sighting over Ireland today, here are some communications following suspected space debris breaking up!!

Pilots told ATC that the ‘debris’ painted a similar image on their weather radar to a normal aircraft

Earlier today, United Airlines flight UA121 / UAL121 from Barcelona to Newark diverted to Dublin Airport due to a medical emergency onboard.

The flight was met by an ambulance on stand and the passenger was removed.

The flight departed later at ~17:30

The ATR-72 was shaken by strong winds during landing on runway 04 when its nosegear hit the runway hard resulting in a collapse. @shaunsaviation.com

2024-12-22: Emerald AW / AerLingus ATR-72 (G-CMMK, *2015) sustained damage in a hard landing in stormy conditions on rwy 04 at Belfast-Intl AP(EGAC), N-Ireland during which the nosegear collapsed. Ferry flight #EAG71P from Edinburgh came to a stop on the runway.

This aircraft will be carrying Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, while he conducts an overnight State Visit.

Some aircraft are now reporting Windshear on approach to runway, a Ryanair pilot taking the opportunity to joke about it🤣

A Windshear warning has gone out for Dublin:
Windshear in approach runway 28L observed at 08:38 by a B767-300, they gained 10 Knots and lost 5 Knots at 500 feet
