I wrote a lot of words and built a lot of interactives around AI-generated music!

Aliya Rahman, woman who was dragged out of car by ICE in Minneapolis: "I've spent the last month learning the names of the tendons in my shoulder, because both of my shoulders are torn -- cartilage and tendons. But what I haven't learned is the names of the people who did this to me."
How do we reclaim what it means to be American as progressives?
In my opinion, liberalism and pluralism are extremely American values that I'm proud of, but I worry that patriotism has somehow been culturally coded by people that don't believe in those things.

Diagram showing โUnderstandingโ (blue) and โExecutionโ (orange) over time. For most of history, they rise together from the same point. After a dashed horizontal line labeled as the present, execution curves upward more steeply than understanding. Text reads: โWith AI, execution increasingly outpaces understandingโ and โFor most of history, what we could do was evidence of what we understood.โ

U.S. and global steel production over the past decade. The highlighted year-over-year increase in U.S. output is real but small, and looks very different when shown in context versus a tightly cropped comparison.

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.
Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.
Congratulations to my friend and our newest State Senator from Tarrant County, Taylor Rehmet! I met Taylor years ago through labor organizing.
