Donald Trump has resorted to making completely unfounded claims about the SAVE Act as he tries to get it passed through Congress.
The Trump DHS just waved the white flag on their Global Entry shutdown. It took less than a month for their "security theater" to collapse under the weight of its own incompetence. They manufactured a crisis, realized they couldn’t manage the fallout, and folded. A total embarrassment.
One female White House official observed wryly: “All the boys have them.” Another added: “It’s hysterical because everybody’s afraid not to wear them.” www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...
Not to brag but I just got my latest pension statement and as long as I retire in 1997 my retirement should be extremely comfortable.
How the Roberts Court destroyed our Democracy
"Five presidential elections ago, before the Supreme Court’s 2010 ruling that lifted many remaining campaign finance restrictions, the share of billionaire spending was almost zero — 0.3 percent, to be precise."

I wonder how Americans reacted the last time chaos in Iran caused gas prices to skyr...

This story suggests that Witkoff and Kushner bungled the negotiations with Iran because they don't understand nuclear technology

No 1994 fall preview would be complete without some input from the critics, including BlueSky’s own @jeffjarvis.bsky.social, in his past life as TV Guide’s reviewer. His pick for best of the season: MY SO-CALLED LIFE
@chrislhayes.bsky.social honors “legend of liberal politics” Ronnie Eldridge, who died at 95.
Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of former Council Member Ronnie Eldridge, a fearless advocate for New Yorkers.
In this time when marginalized communities are under attack, and a lawless war rages, Ronnie's moral compass is deeply missed.
A pro’s pro. A wonderful person to know and to cover, both of which I did. RIP Ronnie www.nytimes.com/2026/03/05/o...
Sen. John Thune delivered a blunt “reality” check to President Donald Trump on Tuesday, warning that the president’s latest scheme to force through a controversial voting bill simply doesn’t add up in the Senate.
This is all part of his plan to fuck with the 2026 midterms and exact revenge on those who stopped him from trying to overthrow the 2020 election. When people ask me why Trump is America’s enemy, I always start here. He’s at war against OUR elections. He’s our enemy.👇
For months, we warned DOGE's access to Americans' private data was ripe for abuse. And here it is:
A former DOGE employee stole the Social Security numbers & personal info of over 500 MILLION Americans.
Musk, Trump, & their DOGE lackies must be made to answer for this, NOW.
I was in a 2 hour briefing today on the Iran War. All the briefings are closed, because Trump can't defend this war in public.
I obviously can't disclose classified info, but you deserve to know how incoherent and incomplete these war plans are.
1/ Here's what I can share:
This is an interesting piece about how the “Church Too” movement—exposing sex abuse by evangelical leaders—was inspired by the “Me Too” movement & overlapped in time with revelations about Jeffrey Epstein’s child sex trafficking operation. #BiblicalPatriarchy #ChurchToo … 1/

“I don’t care if the prices rise—heck, I prefer them that way,” said Kaitlyn Leonardi, who crossed her arms in defiance as she lauded gasoline as “a great product” that had been “too cheap for too long.”

The studio decided it was cheaper to keep Dad on retainer than hire Steve a driver. They actually ran the numbers on that!
