We want stories about pancakes for breakfast on your birthday, ice cream sundaes on the last day of school, or how you always whisper goodnight to the moon before falling asleep. Send us your writing & artwork that shed light on the traditions & rituals that make our world a more magical place.
We are looking for writing and artwork about holidays and festivals, unique family traditions, and the little, quiet rituals you keep just for yourself. Give us poems about raucous celebrations and the activities that are special to your culture, country, or community.
From grand cultural traditions that build connection and form our identities, to small, individual rituals that add bursts of joy, comfort, and whimsy to our days, in this issue, we are celebrating the traditions and rituals that help shape our lives.
New theme just dropped π π₯³
Issue 14 opens for submissions on March 1st with special guest editor @steenahernandez.bsky.social!
And the theme will be...
TRADITIONS & RITUALS

Isabelle's story, "Perfectly Imperfect" is accompanied by an illustration from Imogen Hartland.
Isabelle's lucky to have travelled to 18 different countries with her parents, but would still like to see: Japan, China, Greece and Aruba.
You can find more of Isabelle's fantastic writing on our blog:

Isabelle started writing short stories when she was 5 years old and hasnβt stopped since. Reading and writing are two of her favourite passions but here are a few more: roller skating, dancing, art and listening to music.
Isabelle Paruzel-Gibson is 10 years old and lives with her family in Burlington, Ontario, in beautiful Canada. She loves writing and hearing her own words flow together to become a story that makes readers escape to another world, just like how she feels when she reads.
A page from Little Thoughts Press Issue 11: Stirring Words with a sneak peek of the story Perfectly Imperfect by Isabelle Paruzel-Gibson. Accompanying the story is an illustration of a child lying on their stomach painting nature images.
"... if life was always perfect you would never be sad, or angry, and those emotions are very important. They make us human."
So much wisdom to be found in this story from young writer Isabelle Paruzel-Gibson.

Iβm behind on many things because there is simply too much in both my personal life and the world right now that is requiring my immediate attention. But Iβm gearing up to share more about our Better Together issue and its amazing contributors soon!
If you are still waiting on a response to your submission to Issue 13: Head, Shoulders, Spleen and Nose, I appreciate your patience. Iβm working as fast as I can to get emails sent and should have all decisions sent out by the end of the day today.
In addition to her little one and nature, Pallavi's writings are inspired by her experiences as an immigrant to this country, as well as by her role as a woman in STEM for over two decades.
Pallavi's poems have been published in The Dirigible Balloon and The Best Haiku 2025 international Anthology & a forthcoming issue of The School Magazine. After working for two decades as a computer chip designer, she was delighted to return to a lifelong passion for creative writing and poetry.
Pallavi Jesrani grew up in the land of Gandhi (India) and moved to the land of MLK Jr. (US) 25 years ago. Sheβs a mom to a 4-year-old bookworm of a boy, a childrenβs book writer, and a poet.
