10 months. I made it!
@wigglefarmer
Hi, I’m the human version of the energizer bunny! You may remember me from such moments as loudly singing while riding my bike, compulsively picking up trash, or dressing as the MAX every year on Halloween. AK & PNW based.
10 months. I made it!
Imagine if cities demanded the same of car manufacturers.
Portland police are asking anyone with information about the crash to get in touch.
I’m very curious how the city decides where BikeTown stations should go, and how often they update their map of stations as bike infrastructure changes around the city. Do they move stations based on user behavior? Demand and supply? Do they notify users when a nee station is added or removed?

Bicyclists and pedestrians, including one person using a walker or mobility device, navigate the PSU campus.
As traffic deaths among people walking and biking continue to rise—and as new mobility technologies rapidly reshape how we all move—Portland State University has been selected to lead a major national effort to improve roadway safety and accessibility.

I love how much happier I feel after spending time connecting with people
A little less than one month ago, I decided to make it my goal to go to all of the BikeTown stations in Portland. I had only gone to 57 stations (22%) at that point. Now I’ve gone to 121 (47%) stations, and am consistently in the city’s Top 10 leaderboard for the bike angels program 😅

"Over the year, bike and scooter share carried about 60% as many trips as the state’s $2.15 billion SR-99 highway tunnel under downtown Seattle. During summer months, that number may have been more like 80%."
an image of a purple triangle that is an edit of maslov's hierarchy of needs which says "full body contact hugs" however the image i grabbed is not actually legible as the meme so i made the triangle purple and also added the title in the top corner because otherwise this is basically just a triangle which i think maybe actually could be legible abstractly if you just present someone with a labeled triangle but the color purple might be essential. anyway, hugs are nice
Was poking around on my health app, and, if I’m doing my math right, it looks like today I surpassed 10 million steps total for the year so far! :o

November is always the month when I have so many things to do that time stops existing
Despite the rain, myself and one other person went out and had a wonderful time! We picked up three bags of trash, enjoyed some small joys we found in the neighborhood, and left a message with the rocks we painted!

A photograph of a laminated golden piece of paper that says “Wonka‘s golden ticket. Greetings to you the lucky finder of this golden ticket from Mr. Whaley Wonka. In your wildest dreams you cannot imagine the marvelous surprises that await you”
A photograph of the backside of the laminated ticket. It is a Barry colored piece of paper with pictures of candy around the outside and in the center of graphic of a whale dressed in fancy clothing with an ex for an eye and an explosion behind it. Above the whale is the date 11– 12 – 2025, and below the whale is the date 11 – 12 – 1970
I was walking to school picking up trash this morning like I normally do, and I found this golden ticket in the gutter!
A girl and a bear sit in the foreground of a mountainous landscape, looking up at the stars. Text reads: "life is crazy - love u tho".

It’s funny, I’ve walked and biked along about 85% of where Route 71 goes, and I’ve been there countless times since I use those routes often, but today was actually my first time riding Route 71
I wish more people who did policy stuff also like…. did practice. Thinking is important, but so is doing!
I really love listening to birds chirp and sing. One of my favorite small joys

a bunny on a balcony faces another bunny on a different balcony opposite theirs. They are in neighboring apartment complexes. The two bunnies each hold one end of a rope, and bunny on the left passes a bucket with flowers down the rope to the bunny on the right.

So it turns out... the US air travel system was incredibly, deeply dependent on federal funding to just run day-to-day all this time, to the benefit of private airline shareholders, when everyone thinks that state-run trains are leeching off the government. Weird!
A flyer for an event titled “RECOVERY ROCKS!!” Poster text says “EVERY THIRD SUNDAY at 2PM, 4PM, 6PM. COME PAINT ROCKS, PICK UP TRASH, AND LEAVE ART BEHIND WHILE ENJOYING A RELAXED SOBER HANGOUT. NOVEMBER LOCATIONS: PAINT - LENTS PARK, TRASH - I-205 PATH @ STEELE, FOOD - HONG PHAT.” There are cartoonish rocks with faces drawn on a grass field with flowers and a worm. There is a human and a frog which appear to be dancing or “rocking out” with the rocks. In the back are two rocks close tog each other, and there is a speech bubble coming from the larger one which says “WE PAINT. WE WANDER. WE CLEAN. WE EAT. COME WHEN YOU CAN AND VIBE WITH US.”
I decided to turn the idea of a community trash pickup hangout event that’s been churning in the back of my head for months into a reality - so come to the first ever Recovery Rocks next Sunday 11/16!!!! Bring your friends!!!
We're socialized to constantly apologize for being too outwardly excited about things, but this world is so full of terror and misery that I'd rather see those bursts of light and passion shine through the cracks wherever you can find them.
An interesting phenomenon I’ve observed with my own riding is that more often than not, cars driving actually slow ME down when they are driving in front of me. Cars stop more frequently, and they slow down for speed bumps or to avoid obstacles when I do not need to
