It seems we have made the switch from the local community to global corporations all for the sake of saving a dollar or gaining a dollar.
How far will we sacrifice ourselves to do so?
What would happen if you bought local for most things instead of having a figure of the night throw a package on your doorstep?
What if instead of scrolling on an algorithm designed to poke your dopamine, you put the phone down and enjoy the dinner with the people you sat down with?
What if you could just show up to a place you'd like to work, hand in a simple CV to a receptionist, schedule an interview with who you would potentially be working with, sit down eye to eye, and shake hands afterwards?
No need for the deluge of AI generated CVs. No ai screening.
Strangely addicting!
Should be renamed to "Mighty Blueberry" because it seems it has the same mass as a watermelon ๐๐
It's time we re-use the term "certified-organic" for non-ai generated content. ๐
Oh man, that stinks! ๐ซ
That gives me another idea ๐ก:
Sell miniaturized bitcoin farms that fit in your heating system that will heat your home when the heat pump needs more umph. It's got to be cheaper than the heat strips that are used currently.
It's probably going to to get down to 4ยฐF tonight. My heat pump will invariable switch over to auxiliary heat. In my house, aux heat really means npm installing and running llms locally.
hmm.. of course there are video compression artifacts. viewers beware. ๐
๐ A multi-select-map component!
This component took me longer than I would have liked. Mostly learning how maps work. ๐

It would neat to see how many inactive followers I have as well! Just to get an idea of a general audience size for oneself.
Picture of a button that says "Open All Profiles (61)" with the subtext "Note: this will open a new tab for each profile."
Looks good Scott!
I YOLO'd and clicked this button. Good thing there weren't more than 61 selected. ๐
@joyofcode.bsky.social is now here ๐๐ฅ

Idea ๐ก-
7d2fa: Two factor authentication via your postal service.
Nah. I'm sure there's still a legit use case for it, but largely not needed anymore. Just my opinion.
Checking out Cloudflare has always been on my low priority list, but now that I have, it's certainly delightful.
It just works and works intuitively ๐
How come no one told me Cloudflare was awesome?
Merry Christmas.
I just lost twice to my 8 year old. ๐

Just send her a letter or a carrier pigeon instead.
What would happen if you put down your smartphone on New Year's Eve and never picked it up again in 2025?
Loved it. Great way to spice up December. Thanks!
Upon reflection of the original post, I suppose that I'm more excited about error boundaries than exportable snippets, but in combination it allows reusability without the clutter.
Ok, yeah, wrapping a component in a snippet is good too. ๐
Hmm. Can you pass components to <svelte:boundary failed={component}>? I'll have to check.
Perhaps I'm missing something, but if true that makes sense. ๐ค
