We had 19 folks come to our FPC x PP&R trails drainage training last Saturday! These volunteers learned about hillside hydrology, how water moves across the trail, and how to identify/clear/and improve drainage features such as surface drains, lateral drains, reverse grade dips, and culverts. 1/2
Last Saturday, 21 volunteers joined us in Marquam Nature Park to plant native species and clear invasive English ivy! Altogether, these volunteers planted 300 native trees and plants, including vine maple, osoberry, Oregon grape, and more!

Our volunteers have done it again! 22 volunteers joined us to remove invasive Himalayan blackberry and English ivy from 3,000 square feet of forest. Thank you all for your hard work!

Last weekend, 28 volunteers joined us out in the rain for a planting work party! We removed invasive blackberry and ivy, as well as planted 500 native plants, red elderberry, snowberry, sword fern, thimbleberry, osoberry, and western hemlock.

Yesterday, 8 volunteers joined Portland Parks & Recreation and FPC to do trails work in Forest Park like repairing fencing and clearing drains. Big thanks to these hardworking volunteers and PP&R for helping make the event a success!

30 volunteers joined us last Saturday to rake on Wildwood Trail, Maple Trail, and Firelane 3. Thanks to them, we covered an additional 1.6 miles of trails! Our work is made possible to thanks to the hard work of volunteers like these.

Over the past two months we have been raising money to fund our work in Forest Park and Marquam Nature Park, and you all really came through for us.
