This review highlights gaps in data coverage for youth, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people, and people with disabilities.

We hope highlighting these gaps will lead to further coverage in future to advance our understanding of psychological distress in these groups.

Meanwhile, attachment avoidance was associated with less likelihood of noticing distress in others. This could point to a potential for attachment to impact not just how we respond to distress in ourselves and others, but also how likely we are notice or be aware of distress in ourselves and others.
