one of the biggest blows you can deliver to fascists is letting them know they are incapable of dimming your shine. don't get me wrong, angry protest songs are important, but i want to give people something to dance to and feel like life is still worth living.

the duality of having depression while also writing lyrics like "im lacing up some fresh new kicks" because now is literally the worst time to write depressing music. i dropped my "hey warning fascism is about to take over" album three months before the election, its joy as a form of protest now.

it's probably going to be a while before it comes out, just gotta build that hype!
