"I said it's quite bold of Nigel Farage to go to the US to side with Donald Trump against his own country. What did I say Roy?"
"You said he's a treacherous self-serving sack of shit"
Thanks for the clarification… I had all three pop up in my inbox, I now know which to listen to!
Labour home sec Mahmood in some concentration camp for refugees wearing a something a bad guy in star wars would wear
What am I wearing to the press conference about how we're stripping human rights from the inferior races who have been undermining national unity with the help of Marxist traitors? I've got a sort of Nazi SS officer type thing, would that work? Perfect.
Morrissey’s Fridge Morrissey was filled with sudden self-doubt, as he shut his fridge door – did the light never go out? Brian Bilston
Here’s a short poem called ‘Morrissey’s Fridge’.
I didn’t think I could be more impressed by @sveltiacms.app, but less than 24 hours after suggesting a feature enhancement (re-orderable multi-select fields) it’s been released!
Hats off to @britegrid.io, who is running the project single-handed…
This is why vampires shouldn’t fall asleep on park benches and lose track of the time.

Black Box Recorder on stage at the Luminaire in London in 2009
Fingers crossed for some more dates! (although I might be able to make it to the Palladium)
I was lucky enough to be there for your last gig in 2009...
Ok, so I now realise the tickets went on sale back in December. Even more reason to hope for more dates to be announced…
Well, this has really made my day!
Waiting to see if they announce any more convenient gig locations. Having said that, I did travel to London for their last gig, back in 2009…
18.00 OPENHEIMMER ALL HOURS It's been a funny old day. I came up with the deadliest know weapon known to all mankind. I said to Granville that "Now I had bbbbbbbebbbbecome ddddddeath". There was an almighty bang and I thought that was the end. Turned out to be that damned till.
This one is blowing up.
Four CD jewel cases are arranged in a neat grid on a dark surface. Two R.E.M. albums, Automatic for the People and Out of Time, sit above Monster, while Elvis Costello & The Attractions appears alongside, each cover displaying its distinctive artwork and typography.
Very pleased with today's charity shop haul: I was on the lookout for some REM, and found these 3 in one place for £1 each!
The Elvis Costello (also £1) is a very early pressing (1985), with misprinted track listing on the disc and a Discogs median price of £10...

A black vinyl record turns steadily on a minimalist turntable, the tonearm lowered and a chunky record weight centred on the spindle. Above, on a slim wooden display shelf, the bright yellow sleeve of Local Hero by Mark Knopfler adds bold colour and contrast to the calm listening-room setting.
Two of yesterday's birthday presents - the record, and the record weight. Nice little bonus: side 1 has a lock groove with looping audio of crashing waves, which is picked up at the start of side 2...

Have spent most of my birthday travelling to and from Bristol for a follow-up vet visit with Jethro. Assessment was slightly positive, although he still has limited time - 6 months would be a good result 😢
On the plus side, I've had a better birthday than a certain former prince did yesterday...
Guardian obituary for Robert Duvall. Picture shows him in character in Apocalypse Now, on the beach with a hand on one hip and a machine gun on the other…
The Guardian seem to have nailed it…
This piece with Natalie Fleet is - quietly, gently - one of the most moving political interviews you will have heard in recent years.
Looks like there’s a fixed gap between the badge and the hash ID. So it’s picking up the slight differences in text width.
But I agree, it is slightly triggering!
Snapshot of the top-valued SACDs on my Discogs account. Highest-valued is David Bowie "Heathen", with a median value of £86.45
Just finished adding all my CDs to my Discogs collection (previously vinyl-only). Stunned to see the prices on some of the SACD titles...
By way of contrast, the highest median price on any standard (non-boxset) CD is £17 (Luke Haines' The North Sea Scrolls). (Next on the list is Luke Haines too.)
Pic of Epstein just appeared on the telly and the dog barked at it. Making me look at the Amazon delivery guy in a whole new light.
A black vinyl record spins on a minimalist turntable, the tonearm resting lightly on the groove and the pale centre label rotating in soft blur. Above, on a narrow wooden display shelf, the colourful sleeve of The Humblebums adds whimsical, illustrated artwork to the calm listening-room setting.
Visited Shore Records in East Wittering yesterday for the first time. Great selection to choose from, and was very pleased to find this one off my wantlist...

Close up of the spines of several web development books on a bookshelf, with Introducing HTML5 in the middle
A bookshelf with various web development and computer-related books on it.
Still got a copy on my shelf, along with all the other web dev books that are probably past their useful life, but can't bring myself to get rid of!
(There were once many more there that didn't make the cut...)
A large dog lies on his back across a soft grey blanket, legs splayed in the air and paws curled loosely. His brindled and white coat catches the warm indoor light, and his relaxed expression and open posture suggest deep, comfortable sleep on a cushioned bed.

10 days on from his third (and final) course of radiotherapy, Jethro seems comfortable and content on his heated throw. Fingers crossed that this remains the case for as long as possible 🤞

A black vinyl record plays on a minimalist turntable with the tonearm lowered, its white centre label softly blurred by motion. Above it, Paul Simon’s The Rhythm of the Saints sleeve rests on a narrow wooden display shelf, its warm-toned artwork adding colour to the calm listening-room scene.
Yesterday's other purchase. Ashamed to say I've never heard it before (although I do know The Obvious Child). It's a pretty impressive follow-up to Graceland, a hard act to follow!

A black vinyl record spins on a modern turntable with the tonearm lowered, its green centre label softly blurred by motion. Above it, a Clannad album sleeve with ornate Celtic artwork and warm red and gold tones hangs on the wall, giving the space a calm, curated listening-room feel.
Picked this up yesterday for a fiver in Chichester. The record is pristine - looks barely played - and interestingly is the original pressing, even though the sleeve appears to be a later Philips release...

Would be interesting to know what all the errors on your blog are - considering it's a static site!
Is it AI scraping? My stats looked a lot better after turning on Cloudflare's AI block; I also manually blocked requests from an ASN belonging to Google Cloud Platform which was nuking my site...
Having discovered (and very quickly finished!) the Stranger Times series last year, I’m now on the Dublin/Bunny McGarry books, all brilliantly read by Morgan C Jones.
While the stories are great in themselves, it’s the writing and perfectly realised characters that I keep coming back for…
