Here's the thing:
Photographers are exploited.
We have to do multiple jobs, and lately, we're lucky to even get paid anything. News outlets, social media, AI - they all rely on the expertise of a journalist who has to be physically on the ground, regardless of the risks.
A colleague with a White House hard pass asked why he hasn't seen my work on social media lately.
This is why.
It's not just non-voters/Boomers. Despite mass comm, most live in metaphorical and literal bubble. They're disengaged from hard news and politics, maybe more than ever. The US is a vast, empty space; IME roaming the US over the last few years, most ppl get their info WOM, not media.
I made a photobook about this last year.

American Dad: Roger, in a sequin shirt with long hair, Haley, and Steve, as Wheels, stand in a locker room. Roger says, "But I should be hearing sparkle, sparkle, sparkle!"
All I'm hearing are excuses...
"...the concerns of the golf industry, which opposes full-time standard time because that would make it harder for people to get in a round in the evening...This story has been updated to correct that many people...dislike the twice-a-year changing of clocks..."

I can't speak for BS, but for the last few months I've been hearing Boomers in Fly Over Country parroting nonsense that's easy to debunk with a basic web search. Most tell me it's something they found via their personal Meta-branded feeds. There's definitely an increase in algorithmic slop.
I just threw up in my butt.
As a kid, I got chicken pox so severe they were on every inch of my body. The bottoms of my feet, in my mouth, down my throat and in my esophagus, even the unmentionables. I don't remember much, I was mostly unconscious, but I do remember getting pissed off that I was expected to do homework.

Among his many scandals as mayor, Rahm Emanuel's attempt to cover up the police murder of Laquan McDonald was the most egregious.

You haven't seen the Hoosigeoise until you've been to The Villages in FL. It's a segregated golf cart-centric Boomer town. A resident told me their partner called it, "The Privileges."

It's silly and charming, shows the range of the actors. Like many episodes in Season 2, it makes a lighthearted joke of Trek's own premise.
A former AP photog tells me it's been pushed on reporters for years and constantly rejected, but with local news has been gutted. What journos are left in small markets are being forced into freelancing for whatever they can get. Editors saw a chance to cut more costs, and shove it down throats.

A bouncer at the Elbow Room (allegedly) wouldn't let him in bc he's always been such a dick to the scene. (Allegedly.)

Look for "Cheer-wine." It's a cherry soda/pop.

Can the animal change every game, or is it set? Does it have to be related to the team name/mascot (Chi. Bears, Char. Hornets)? Do you get points for interference?
