Sad to hear of death of Brian Quail, peace activist and independence campaigner. As a member of Pax Christi Scotland and Glasgow Catholic Worker, his desire for peace and justice was rooted in his Christian faith. His legacy will continue to inspire, especially at ecumenical Faslane peace vigils.

Given the impending election, when you think all the things that would be lost if SLAB or Reform were to win… tuition, prescriptions, eye tests, busses, etc etc

Excellent speech from our FM. Unequivocally stating the need for Scotland to be back in the EU "𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘡𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘒𝘬𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘢𝘳 𝘴𝘦𝘀𝘢𝘳π˜ͺ𝘡𝘺 𝘒𝘯π˜₯ 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘳π˜ͺ𝘡𝘺".

With all the English parties except Zak's against this, the only route back to the EU is independence. And that means voting for 𝗧𝗡𝗲 𝗦𝗑𝗣 on May 7th.

Reform UK’s authoritarian project for power The American author and poet Maya Anjelou famously wrote: β€œWhen someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.” That has never been more true than where we are now in Brit…

My latest blog piece, Reform UK's blueprint for an authoritarian power grab. The biggest threat to democracy and the rule of law ever seen in modern Britain and a reason why the need for Scottish independence is so urgent.

A classic example of the propaganda tactics the BBC 𝘒𝘭𝘸𝘒𝘺𝘴 adopts in Scotland to try to undermine our Scottish parties.

Why do the media - especially @bbcnewsnight.bsky.social et al not broadcast this man’s work, for some intelligent truth? I wonder?

The day after former Scottish Labour minister Frank McAveety was arrested and charged with fraud BBC Scotland reported that Scottish Labour had been approached for comment. Over two weeks later and we're still waiting to hear what the party said. Why has this story been killed?

Starmer's St George's day video repeatedly conflates England with Britain. Something Westminster politicans love to do. For them, Scotland doesn't exist except when we have something they want - like renewable energy. Or somewhere to store nuclear weapons.

Labour are planning to nationalise British Steel - to save the Scunthorpe plant from closing down.

Why didn't Labour do the same when Scotland's last oil refinery announced it was closing down?

Scottish jobs are an afterthought for Labour.

In Greenland all healthcare is free, mothers are entitled to 14 weeks of maternity leave, fathers to 3 weeks paternity leave, workers to 5 weeks paid holiday leave annually. Minimum wage is $18.50 per hr. There are no tuition fees for students. No wonder they don't want to be part of Trump's empire.

Scotland’s offshore wind industry means thousands of new jobs and a stronger economy.

We’re investing in our supply chain, backing innovation and attracting private investment to build a wealthier, greener future.

A huge opportunity for Scotland. 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

It’s beyond cruel, and all it does is make people’s lives worse, their mental health worse and therefore their cost to the nhs greater. It an evil plan with evil consequences in my view.

Sarwar backs Starmer’s welfare cuts. Here’s what it means for you:

πŸ”΄ Thousands could lose vital support.
πŸ”΄ More people forced into poverty.
πŸ”΄ Holyrood will be left to pick up the pieces with less funding.

Scottish Labour is standing with Westminster, not with Scotland.

I did not have high expectations of Keir Starmer, he was always obviously Blair 2.0, but I did think that as a disabled person at the very least I would no longer live in terror of disability benefit cuts as I did under the Tories. How wrong was that fond hope.

More than 200 million free bus journeys have been made by under-22s across Scotland.

This means young people can travel to their place of work, learning or to hang out with family and friends while saving them and their family significant amounts of money.
