Like most of Zach Snyders work, “Suckerpunch” has a vibe that is really good and he delivers the eye candy and the action. But basic things like story, character development and cohesion are just not concepts he grasps. Which I hate saying because each one of his movies I wanted to love so much.

Finished this in just one sitting. ML Rio is someone I will definitely be reading again. The premise is fun and the characters are all unique and appealing. Her writing is crisp and the pages roll by at a good pace.

There’s an urgency that keeps the story moving.

And then. It just stops.

“Talk To Me” No horror film I’ve seen recently made me this uncomfortable. Okay “Smile 2” did. And as a movie, it has a lot to say. Trauma, the supernatural and the challenge youth face navigating life/social media. Frightening yes and very powerful. Disturbing, scary, thought provoking. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

You would think with a cast that includes Jamie Lee Curtis,Hart Bochner and directed by Roger Spottiswoode you’d be in for a real treat. With truly despicable characters there is a wrong that must be righted. Bloodshed is needed. Kills are meh, dialogue forgettable the ending predictable. **/****

As much as l love Rudy’s humiliation, the mass evaporation of morality, orchestrated attacks on journalism and the fact there is real effort to make Canada (mostly white) as opposed to Puerto Rico (non white) part of the US, yeah I’m going to slink back to books and horror movies for a while.

Not sure what I just watched. I can tell you it was emotional, bloody and weird. Wouldn’t recommend this one. A lot about trauma, rivalry and an extremely toxic love triangle mixed with geysers of blood from ill choreographed boxing scenes. Did I mention this one was strange?

Finally watched my first Dario Argento movie and I am pretty sure I’m officially in love. From the buckets of blood, the glorious overacting, the throbbing 80s music score and the over the top ending, this is sure to be my first of many journeys with this incredible director.

The blur in this one actually works. Rare case where a likely throwaway becomes a keeper.

Me too! Sad to hear about MSNBC having lost so many viewers but I just can’t. And I won’t be able to for a long time. I won’t watch but I will read like a brother trucker to stay informed.

Watching tv is not going to solve problems. Being aware and involved in your community is.
