Many have it far worse, we lost power & communications for 3 days, but some still have no power or water. And where is the Duchy of Cornwall? Nothing from William. St Michaels Mount has lost 80 trees. Other Incredible gardens changed for ever. Our LibDem MP had to fight in commons to discuss it.

Itβs been a tough week in Cornwall, and all we see in National News is no water in Sussex and Kent π€¬ Try having no power, no communication and no water. I was living in South East England in 1987, the only difference to that storm and Storm Goretti 2026 is the 250 miles between us.

Trump & Putin insist that Ukraine never join NATO, itβs one of their key demands to end the war. If Ukraine were a member of NATO, that would also end the war. I know what one would benefit Ukraine & Europe the most!

Reeves urged to take 2p off employee NI and add it to income tax in budget
Resolution Foundation says move could raise additional Β£6bn a year and βlevel the playing fieldβ on income tax
Iβm not against this, but higher rate should be 5p increase and additional rate 10p. Also if they go down this route, threshold should be raised to 15k to help lower paid & pensioners. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

Rachel Reeves says she cannot rule out autumn tax rises after βdamagingβ week
Exclusive: Chancellor says she never considered resigning and warns βthere are costsβ to welfare bill U-turn
Promising NOT to increase income tax was always an error. However, if they freeze the threshold further, it will be another error. People are fed up with the low paid, inc Pensioners, being targeted. Tax those who can afford it.

Reeves expected to freeze income tax thresholds to raise funds after welfare U-turn
Governmentβs concessions over welfare cuts leave chancellor with a growing hole in her budget
If Labour extend freeze on tax threshold, we all pay, including low earners & pensioners. If they must increase income tax, hit the top end. Increase Higher & Additional rate tax.
